Is S/O Entitled to Social Media Password(s)?

I'm not in a relationship but even when I was I don't think there was a time when my S/O at the time ever had access to any of my online passwords. Not because I was hiding anything or cheating, but simply because I've always been a bit of a private person and I honestly feel like its an invasion of privacy. I also believe that even though people "say" they can handle certain things, when involved their "actions" show completely different. Bottom line, be careful what you ask me...you may not like the honest hardcore brutal truth. I've never been one to nose around in my S/O online accounts either...but I personally know of others who have gone so far as to hackin/stealing their S/O passwords just to gain access.

Ran across this article and found it very interesting:

He claims that he used the computer all the time and she kept her passwords in a little book next to the computer. Simple click-clack of the keys and he was in. Harmless, right? I'm not sure."

What are your thoughts? Have you ever hacked into an S/O's online account? Do u have access to ur SO??s social media accounts? Do they have access to urs? Why or why not? Does not providing your password automatically mean you're hiding something?

She would need to pass specific criteria to gain access to my inner realm anyway so would need to be my wife (or equivalent)

S/O = boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, lover, or however loosely defined.

I think the only way I could even possibly think about sharing passwords to my online accounts is that it would have to be with my husband who would STILL have to be my 'best friend'. I know some people did/do marry their best friend and others just marry a help mate, not saying either is good or bad, but there is a HUGE difference to me. Not 100% sure if I can even do it then....lol!
