I'll start for all you OCD types by dumping a carton of pins on the floor and watch you pause to count.

But I am curious about the DXP crowd.
What is that constantly nagging thing that ya'll just can't shake?
That itch you just can't seem to get rid of no matter how much you scratch?

For that last one--if you just got out of a poison ivy patch, it doesn't count.

what about post-it notes? I struggle if they are all different colours and if they have different lengths sticking out, then I have to keep pulling them off until they line up- by which time they've inevitably run out of stick thereby rendering them utterly useless!!!

(^exhausted just typing and thinking about the work involved!^)

Stop! lol

I don't mind the differing colors too much (unless they clash), but the alignment.. I am a little weird about it. 😢

-The Venetian Blinds thing
-Wall picture frames and clocks have to be straight
-Cans (even inside the cabinet where no one can see them) have to be facing forward and neatly stacked
-My outside doormat has to be straight too

I could go on but I don't want to be committed 😢 Whatever OCD clean/neat freak thing is...I have it.

I want some of that...this place is a mess 😄

I always have to have my little door-jam bag just so, on an angle in the door way between my bedroom and living area.
Also my tea towels need to be folded on top of the microwave or I have one sitting length-ways on the kitchen sink.
I feel like I'm in another dimension otherwise 😛

I stack things on my desk re size / largest to smallest.
Folder, notepad, ipad, phone, post-its... and maybe a couple of paperclips lol pen down the side...

why why why *shakes head*

The crooked clock/picture thing is another one I can't stand, and its not just in my place, either.
Being on time for things.
Turning over rocks, in the slang sense- once my antennae ate up about something, I don't stop until I get all the answers.

I obsess about everything. Once I start I can't stop. My obsessions come & go though, the only constant one is cleanliness. I want everything to be clean & in order or I'll feel depressed. A dirty house & clutter depresses me, reason why I never go to other people's houses because the dust on their furniture will put me in a funky moody.

I also clean AGAIN when people leave my house, it's like resetting the vibe of the house. It feels polluted until I lay my germ-free hands on a couple of things then it feels normal again. I love a clean house, it clears my thinking & mood.

As much as I love everything to be neat & tidy, I just can't stand "perfection" in appearances. Example, a hair style without a hair out of place gives me a feeling of having a swimming cap compressing my skull. I can't stand it. I like messy but still presentable. I hate new clothes because they're perfectly ironed & have creases. I sit on them or wash them before I wear them. Perfectly ironed clothes feel like a body cast, it's like being mummified.
