I don't know about films but, I heard about this subject once a long time ago.

I think the definition of rape would have to be different for the man than for the woman.
I mean, I cannot imagine ever accusing a woman of raping me. It just seems odd. Waaaay out there.

Of course there are LEGAL definitions.
I presume forced sex against a man's will would qualify.
Only trouble with that, is, a heterosexual man is likely going to have to pretend he don't want it.
I mean... isn't that the kind of sex where the woman plays the dominant role, whips and chains?
IMHO, he would have to be a) seduced, b) intoxicated c) drugged d) threatened with a deadly weapon.

Yes because those physiological reactions are involuntarily. If she ties him up and he can't get away and she forces him to become stimulated yet the whole time he's honestly protesting and not wanting it you can't "blame" him for having a perfectly natural physical reaction to stimulation, and when such occurs she can obviously have her way with him. That's rape. There are boys raped by women as well. And females can get wet during rape, too. It doesn't mean that they're secretly wanting it.

Ok, if that's so, with that in mind, a woman cannot just cry "rape" because she's a woman - there has to be additional enumerating evidence that point to the act as rape and not some kind of kink sex.

I think I said that right.

The idea that its not possible to rape a man, because he became aroused and "wanted it" is the same as a male rapist defending his actions by stating she got wet and therfore wanted it because it turned her on.

The body rarely listens to the mind and will react to either defend itself or subdue itself to handle the situation. The nerural sensory response to touch or reflex arc is first established and reacted through the spine, eventual message relayed to the brain. The body will choose the appropriate reflex or reaction prior to sending the message to the brain. This sensory response comes from the spine.

Its not because of sexual arrousal, its stimulation to the sensory neurons.

If a woman or man states that they do not want to and the other person forces themselves sexually on that person, then it is rape.

Ok but that scenario is only IF there are witnesses and since most rapes appear to be "private" or "unseen" during the actual event, it becomes a classic case of he said, she said. That's why I figure
there has to be evidence to support the claim, otherwise it seems to be hard to prove in court.

On the subject of sexual harassment. The Mayor of San Diego is being sued for it - it's all breaking news, at the moment but "Gloria Allred" is apparently representing the plaintiff. No doubt this will
end Democrat Bob Filner's mayoral career.
Apparently, there are others who have come forward, who remain, anonymous, at this time.

In the case of sexual harassment, I find it hard to believe a story when it's just he said she said
and there are no others. Also, the trouble with that is a handful of women could accuse him of a crime
IF they simply don't like his management style - ie, universally rude - but they use the sexual harassment charge in order to get him fired or because they want to win some extra spending $ $ .
Men usually won't defend such a man, because they automatically assume the women, in conspiracy, are telling the truth.

Firebird...
Regardless of the location of a rape, lack of witness.....if a person states that the sexual contact wasnt voluntary or mutual....its rape.
Leave the loop holes and fence hopping to the Lawyers that make it their business.

Ethics state that sex is voluntary. If a partner is too drunk, isnt agreeing, eluding advances then the common action would be to not persue however people LOVE grey areas and gamble with how far they can go.

No means no, anywhere.
Innocent until guilty....but not at the risk of verbal insult to the victim for not wanting sex and glorification to the perp for being a sexual being who dominated what he/she wanted.

Again, it's a he said/she said - she says rape, he says she's lying. - she really could be a liar, you know. (and vice versa) - Here's one - a couple have consensual sex, next day he's in jail on charges of rape because she claims it. - Her motive? He wouldn't take her to the lake.

I've heard of women who ended up dating the guys who raped them. Does that mean they enjoyed it? Or is it something deeper than that? Psychological issues or Stockholm syndrome. Whatever it is, it's said to be not that uncommon. There was an episode on ID's Deadly Women-- this girl was dating her rapist, even got pregnant by him. He then raped yet another girl & the gf was angry at the other girl..suspecting that she might have developed feelings too. Well, she ended up killing the rape victim.

Tbh I almost did this to make it 'not rape' in my mind. Idk, I was young and dumb 😛 Anyway I do get the mentality behind it. They probably often blame themselves.

I think I get the self-blame if it's someone you already knew, but continuing to see the guy is what's strange to me. It's even more weird when it's a stranger from a dark alley.

It happens. I'd love to know how it went from rape to "wanna go see a movie on Friday?" LOL! Fact is really stranger than fiction.

No kidding... Back in the early-mid 90s that concept was talked about on the radio.
I heard so much of that crap I thought.... there goes any chances of a date.
No way Jose was I going to get sued for just askin' a woman out for a date.
sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
And it's spookier now than it was then.

And some women wonder why we Scorpio men disappear.

That's a liability no man needs to add to his baggage.

Rape is a violation and the loss of dignity. You're robbing the person of something.

There are men out there who have beem raped by a woman or gang raped by women. Unfortunately, there's a social stigma and so you wont hear a lot of men who were victims report it.

Not all men are up for sex whenever and for whatever.

Unless the person is a virgin, then its more along the lines of "borrowing without permission"

I love how people freak the fuck out and act as though it's an absolute travesty when their sign is bashed or to be accused of having several accounts, but think it's totally okay to call someone a "high-functioning autistic" and then pick on them.

Seriously, you guys are fucked up. You get all fucking pissed off at petty bullshit, but don't even blink when truly offensive shit is said because you have your heads shoved so far up each others' asses. Fucking unbelievable and disgusting.

"Yeah, let's sit around and LOL at people we think are crazy and disabled! Hurr, retards and crazies are funni! Don't you dare challenge my fucking bullshit imaginary Internet "integrity" though, or I'll go apeshit!"

Honestly, what in the actual fuck?
