Sorry if I haven't posted for three days. I was out in Manila. I was very very busy. And it was horrible coz I missed my flight back home because my taxi driver took the wrong route. I begged before the supervisor to include me coz when I arrived, it wasn't departure time yet. She was very rude like she said, "You won't understand why we close before time because you've never been part of the airline industry, and don't blame your taxi driver for your tardiness, it was all your fault... and please, you are talking to a supervisor."

But she never realized that I was up six hours before the departure time, that I just had to go to a government office to get my referral letter that was supposed to be accomplished the day before. That when I arrived at the government office, I was expecting that the referral letter was already available at my disposal but to my surprise, I still had to wait for an hour and a half. I was there at 10 am but I was able to get out at 11.30. I told my driver to speed up because I'm going to be late for my flight, I even told him to take the skyway route... but he didn't. And that's why I came late for just 20 minutes and when I talked to the "supervisor," she didn't just say it was "impossible," she couldn't explain why so and she was very very rude by saying "it was all my fault" when she never even gone through what I've gone through that day and the earlier day. I wasn't even complaining to her, I was begging... yet all I got was this? I wasn't even being offensive to her.

The departure time was 12:45 pm
I woke up at 6:30 am. I went to the government office in Alabang expecting that my referral letter was already available at my disposal. I arrived at 10 am at Alabang. I didn't expect that I still have to wait for another hour and a half. It was 11:30 when I got my referral letter, I haven't taken my breakfast yet but I don't have time anymore so I hailed a taxicab to bring me to the airport, it was only 30 minutes before check-in time but I was sure that I can still arrive on time if we go through SKYWAY... but the taxi driver was so stupid, he drove through the wrong route and so I arrived late.

I begged before the supervisor but I got all those rude responses, belittling me just because she knows that I am just a student. She couldn't understand that I've gone through so much. It would've been fine if she just said that it's all airline rules but to say those things were just way too much. I was already very sad th

why dont you call the airlines and speak to her superior, or file a complaint.

you are too soft. i would have thrown a bitch fit, or demanded to speak to her manager. i wouldn't have stopped there

Agreed! F that B, how dare she even say it was your fault and for you not to blame anyone else...what is she psychic!? How the F does she know what you went through to get you there!? What a UNPROFESSIONAL B, I would have reported her in a heartbeat, along with cussin her the F out! Now this is the kind of injustice I cannot stand for! What is her name!? And what airline? I will file a report for you!

It was Cebu Pacific. I didn't get her name. But I could clearly remember her face. The thing is, she was 100x more annoying and more heartbreaking than the stupid taxi driver. After that incident, I've completely forgotten what the taxi driver just did and had my emotions focused on that "supervisor." @_@

That sucks you missed your flight~ Her being rude was out of line and that is what she should have a complaint filed against her for. However complaining to the higher ups that she wouldn't let you on the flight that you where late for boarding/check in isn't going to do much. It wasn't her fault that you arrived late. Sadly it was the cab drivers 😢

Obviously none of us but you where there so have no idea how she spoke to you or the exact wording of what she said. However I do work in the customer service industry and have for more then 25 years and what irks me is that everyone thinks it's acceptable to get mad at those providing a service; and if they don't get their way watch out. Especially when the person in the CS field is just enforcing the rules set up by the company they work for. Hell we don't make them the company's do and that's who you should get upset with. Am I sympathetic when someone is upset, absolutely, do I need to stand there and get cussed out because said person is pissed off because they are late or wants something other then what I can offer. hell no! the customer isn't always right and I can't stand people who think that's their god right to toss out and abuse- I see it ALL the time.

According to my boss-customer is always right! (he actually said they are not right, but their money matters more than their ego and opinion, so basically he told us to always just agree with what the customer says. Even if are getting robbed, just hand them everything, and do not say a word, lol)

Ya I have heard that for years. I am polite, nod and smile with my "your an asshole smile"......Honey will win you more flies than vinegar will every day!

Especially if being robbed, you give them everything!

Yeah, I completely understand that but to be rude, inconsiderate, unable to explain things, and to completely blame everything to the passenger who missed the flight when she didn't even know what I've gone through is something that could blow everything out of proportion. She caused more heartbreak than that taxi driver who took the wrong route. >_< And if I were not soft-spoken, who knows what I could have done to her. :,(

I know! I would've talked to the higher ups BEGGING - not complaining - but it was too little too late I guess - just few minutes before departure time when I ended speaking to the supervisor. @_@

bunny use ur lawyering skills...

do u have a case against her?

i think you do not. not even a valid complaint.

she had the power to call the shots and she did. u were late. it's not her job to take into consideration cab drivers that take wrong routes.

filing a complaint wud just make things a lot more orwellian.

Yup I know. There's no complaint I could file. But there's a customer service section in Cebu Pacific's www.cebupacificair.com. I'm trying to send them the complaint but it's always invalid captcha. @_@

I totally want your flight info....that woman needs to be put in her place...I am dead serious, I cannot stand it when someone in the service business doesn't take others into consideration, especially when they are paying customers... I want to knock this woman off the high horse she thinks she's on and dragged behind it!!! And possibly get you a nice perk as an apology.

Thanks. I'm going to PM you my details. Thanks so much. 🙂

Bugsy, sorry about what happened to you.

Given the generally rude/crude demeanor of most people in society these days, it can be said that the worst of these folks are easily found in the airline industry.

They simply don't give a rat's ass in most situations, however there are rare exceptions.

Sri Lanka Airways was the absolutely best flying experience of my life.

Qantas was also a Divine experience.

Just have to find the right airline and airports, dude.

I think my biggest mistake was not to beg before her higher ups - her manager. For the record, she was merely a supervisor. And supervisors usually do not make managerial decisions - she couldn't have allowed me to take the flight at all because she had no power. But what really irks me was her gall to be sooo condescending to me that "she is a supervisor ek ek." I could've called that out, "Yeah, you are MERELY a supervisor." YABANG LANG! >😢!!!!!

Under the Labor Code:

"Managerial employee" is one who is vested with the powers or prerogatives to lay down and execute management policies and/or to hire, transfer, suspend, lay-off, recall, discharge, assign or discipline employees.

"Supervisory employees" are those who, in the interest of the employer, effectively recommend such managerial actions if the exercise of such authority is not merely routinary or clerical in nature but requires the use of independent judgment.

Thanks Scorpy. I'm already done with this thing. I just needed to have this complaint reach Cebu Pacific's customer service. I'm no longer angry, at all.

CC, Geminicandle: you were able to take flights even if you're late? Nice. Good for you. That means, it's still possible then.
