In your own words. Tell me what it means to you to be 'sexually liberated'.
Sexual Liberation...
Posted by geminicandle
To have no shame, guilt and regrets when it comes to sex and anything sexual.
Can you explain the shame & guilt part.

Other words to be used are comfortable and confident. Comfortable in my own body and feelings and confident that I can make my partner orgasm, as well as myself🙂

For me it means being completely in tune with and understanding your own sexuality and being completely comfortable expressing it. Even if it means completely going against popular belief or other people's stereotypes, preconceived notions, biases and ideas of how you should express yourself sexually. It also means not having any shame or reservations when it comes to doing, talking or even thinking about sex.
What the difference between the above & promiscuity or slutty?

Well slutty is a subjective word so I really don't ever care to use it because that goes along with preconceived notions and biases. Promiscuity on the other hand has a very matter of fact definition. So to answer your question, the difference between the two is that you don't necessarily have to be promiscuous in order to be sexually liberated but, you do have to be sexually liberated to be promiscuous. There is a very thin line between the two so I think that's why they may get confused but, a sexually liberated person can have limits, as opposed to a promiscuous person who might not have many or at least less. These two words have two different definitions. I do think they correlate in some sense though.click to expand
I was having similar thoughts- it is very hard to tell the difference between a liberated person & a loose one. Maybe somebody else will come in and clarify the difference between the two. Thanks for your input, though.

I don't care what others do with their bodies as long as it's consensual.
Personally, I think it's bullshit that women are so defined by the sexuality.
It's not about other people. I just want to hear people's definition of the term 'sexually liberated' or 'sexual liberation', what it means to them personally.
You don't have to marry, or stay married to, anyone-- whether for financial support or acceptance in society.
That's how I would define Sexual Liberation.
Without the above, one's options are limited, at best.
