The way you explain solemn christmas got me thinking I'd rather have a solemn Christmas. Tho I don't celebrate it anyway.
Don't have Christmas with your kids ?
Most of my kids are grown and on their own (thank god) and got kids of their own. My youngest is 4 and all she wants to do is watch cartoons and play with the other kids. Today's kid ain't like how it used to be when we were kids coming up.

I think Christmas can always be wonderful for kids whatever age 🙂

...and adults too

Shiny

Shiny

Tinsel

Tree

Cosy fire

Family

Friends

Food

And the warm feeling inside

Remembering those who have passed

I like all elements of the season except for the greed element

Always love to reflect and give thanks for what I have in my life

*~*~*~*~*~*
Do I hear you say both solemn and glittery? A silent night but with christmas lights flickering endlessly?

Yeah true. But it ain't so wonderful for adults who has to work on Christmas day. There was many Christmases I used to had to work at it sucked balls. I feel sorry for those that has to work on Christmas day. Of course I feel sorry for anybody who has to work anyway.

I can feel you bro. No matter how much it pays, it still pains. It's Christmas. Now I'm wondering about taking a dinner out or just cooking the food by ourselves. I feel sorry for those who work during Christmas days.

Yesss... You're right about that. Sadly, though.

By the way, are you in London?
