Confident comes from repetative life experience or knowledge best known based on experimental facts. Confident people still listen.

Arrogance is rejective against anything does not support one's belief even those are actual facts.

Goes hand in hand with cognitive dissonance

You can tell how they present themselves. One is constructive the other is destructive

Arrogance always feels the need to go out of its way to explain itself, even when not asked.

Confidence = the results speak for themselves. And a confident person will learn from their own mistakes even when getting the result they wanted to achieve.
