Heard that the countries that emit the most carbon emissions are the wealthiest ones... yet they are also the least vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. I live in a country that's often battered by typhoons and most of the corporations that emit the most carbon emissions are not even incorporated here.

We pray the hardest all the time that we be spared from typhoons... yet we are almost always visited. I don't think that donations could help us at all. What could help us the most is the total ban of industries that emit the most carbon emissions.

The environment here in the Philippines is very beautiful... or so it was back in the day. However, things have changed since a long time ago. Instead of these industries helping the local communities to thrive, the natives have lesser sources of livelihood. They no longer have much fish to fish. They no longer have much animals to hunt. The environment suffers greatly and it's the local inhabitants that suffer the most.

Yet, what can we do? We don't have the money to protect ourselves. We don't have the capital to pursue legal actions that could save us from harm. We are helpless.

any islands that are where the typhoons are gonna hit, well it's up to mother nature. I know religoius folks who have said, stuff like, "well they are corrupt, so they will never learn due to their greed and cruelty so mother nature, or God --- in the case of super religiouis -- will send out messages or a warning."

that kind of thing.

it more or less sounds like a very very vengeful God (before the coming of jesus, in the old testament) alot of religions dont believe in new testament or jesus's teachings anyway.
