This Case Is Getting Interesting (US)

"Jussie Smollett, the "Empire" actor who claims he was assaulted by white supremacists screaming "MAGA COUNTRY" in the middle of a polar vortex in Chicago, just hired the best defense lawyer in town, Michael Monico, after the two persons of interest in the case were released by the Chicago Police Department."

Now why would a victim of a "hate crime" hire a defense attorney?

Could it be that the Chicago police had a "tower dump" of cell phone records prior to requesting Smollett turn over his phone, and wanted to compare records?

That the two persons of interest might have sung like canaries while in custody?

If this is what is looking more and more like a hoax, a disservice has been done to real victims, and tied up resources that could have been better used fighting crime in Chicago.

What did they found on his phone tho... I read they were some msgs... but did they ever released what was on it.? related to his attack.
