The server note reminds me of a customer that I had.

She was visiting from the UK. I noticed her Doctor Who hoodie and told her I was a fan as well, but hadn't watched the finale of when Tennant left (didn't want him to go!). So we basically discussed it and I hadn't watched because I'm meh about the change and would eventually get around to the new one after her encouragement.

At the end of dinner, she hands me money for the bill (with tip) and then hands me an extra 40 dollars. "Go buy the box set of the new season and watch it! 🙂"

Definitely one of the most memorable tables I've had.

Other misc. things witnessed- tables across the restaurant paying for soldiers' meals.

Best thread ever.

Made me tear up a bit.
