On January 20, 2017 the Dow average was 19,827.25.

Today it closed at 20,188.52.

Obama took office with the Dow 7,949.09

He left office with the Dow at 19,732 (Up 148% )

How long before the Dow tops 50,000 and beats Obama?

Corona will bring it down even more. Then we will overcome the crisis with a cure in about half a year. The markets will rise again and Trump will be the president who survived the crisis. Mhm. I smell another term coming 😉

That wasn't the question. How long till we break 50,000?

Obama kept the economy down. It should have reached 30,000 under him, but he tried regulating us into submission. all Trump had to do was get elected to turn things around.

148% > 1.8%

It should have been more under Obama. And Trump is still at a record high even with the coronovavirus. Poll numbers and elections show how most people feel about it.

It's not difficult to have a "record high" when your predecessor gets you to that level.

It's debatable whether the poll numbers are as high as reported. Without polling everyone, it's likely that more people disapprove than we know, meaning the poll numbers are lower than we believe.

I think a global reset is coming. Not sure what it's going to look like, there are a couple of theories out there. But there's no way the central banks will be able to buy their way out of this one (if they even want to).

Past elections show that more people approve than the polls suggest. Remember, Hillary was +5 on Election Day 😂

Past outbreaks show that the mortality rate of COVID-19 is higher than reported.
