Was Ghostbusters a BIG HIT in the 80s?

I remember seeing that one as a kid, and being both excited and terrified at the same time.

Spalsh!!!!!??_..I watched this movie once when I was 4 years old and I was obsessed with it ever since but forgot the name then I typed tom hanks and mermaid in the search engine and I watch dthe whole movie on youtube!!! 😄

I hear about all these kids watching the Goonies and how its the best movie ever??_I never watched it so to cure my curiosity I watched it and i was like "what the actual fuck"—_.no seriously!
