Stephen Hawking: Black Holes May Not Have 'Event Horizons' After All

In a paper posted online, the physicist, based at the University of Cambridge, UK, and one of the creators of modern black-hole theory, does away with the notion of an event horizon, the invisible boundary thought to shroud every black hole, beyond which nothing, not even light, can escape.

Well, I'll be darned. I rather enjoyed the idea of weird shit happening to you just before you are sucked in and compacted into nothingness.

Really? I think the event horizons are there. How come there's a protrusion of light getting sucked into the black hole? Can you tell me the source so I can review the article?
