There's a lot to take in here. Slightly different, but related, didn't the person who thought of the lone wolf theory denounce it as bullshit?
To use a practical example and I am happy for people to disagree with me, but in a business a manager shouldn't be a narcissist or a bully. There is evidence that people with psychopathic tendencies get promoted quicker - such as in Jon Ronson's book. My opinion is you do need to care about the business and be sacrificial while still being assertive and having an ego. There's a reason why in a fast paced hostile environment like a kitchen most chefs are often aggressive and it does work. If a chef is a wimp he won't command a kitchen, same as a building site or something military. You have to be prepared to be seen as a bastard if you have discipline people or fire someone. You can't be everyone's pal.
I've decreed alpha, delta, beta as being bollox as people are a mixture of all of those.
I think were your research breakdowns is when you are talking about divisions. As I've said before the biggest divisions are money and beauty. Ugly and rich, beautiful and poor will always do better than someone seen as average no matter how alpha.
I think the other thing about division is an element of clubs, you don't play by the rules ya get the El Bow. Have a look at Germaine Greer, left wing, third wave feminist said some stuff about trans and got banned from speaking at left leaning prestigious universities in the UK. I'm a believer in free speech and by curbing it you effectively have one sided debates were everyone agrees. The downfall which is such an overly dramatic term even Oscar Wilde would reject it is wrapping people in cotton wool and people figuratively sticking their fingers in their ears if someone disagrees with them, usually you find in a debate most people aren't that far apart and a lot of it is semantics or just as simple reinterpreting an idea a different way. The whole talk of extremism is actually divisive. I can honestly say I've never met an extremist on any spectrum.

Without being to morose you've stumbled upon something by accident. Why are young men so lost they refer to Jordan Peterson, Tate or even Trump as Daddy? There is a mentality were we expect people to save us from imaginary demons of the mind.

Does he give off Daddy vibes? Does he take care of you like a Zaddy? Does he make you feel safe?

In situations where this applies, empathy/sympathy is reduced the higher someone is in status. The direct interaction from people/situation lessens in impact for people in higher ranks and so does accountability.

Real talk again...
The men that follow Tate are majority young white males, with inferiority complexes and gravitate to the promise and promotion of power lol. This all falls back to what I was saying earlier yo. They are a vulnerable social group that are fed this BS because, they truly are in a place without control or power over their own lives and they lust after the ideals are promised by extremist groups like Tate followers who want power, typically power over women who they perceive as "less than".
Right now, for women at least there should be some top key questions when fielding men to date since majority of people meet online now:
1- Do you listen to Alex Jones?
2- Do you follow Andrew Tate?
3- Do you believe in Alpha and Beta Males?
4- Do you wash your asshole in the shower?
5- Do you use soap when you wash?
Any check on that list is an immediate fail...straight to jail, block.

It’s always been this way and will be. Hierarchies of dominance will continue to exist as long as our actions and behaviour are rooted in ego and fear and short term thinking.
We will always reinforce a system that is oppressive to most if there are opportunities to gain from it and if we believe we have more to lose if it is dismantled completely, than be able to comprehend a more egalitarian society

The sheer amount of men who don't wash their asshole, and don't use soap is staggering.
You wouldn't know that because you're an affluent male who has a daily housekeeper Ands. I'm talking about regular American basic men who think washing their bum hole in the shower is gay-like.
You're good lol

I feel like a lack of chin is an overwhelming factor that contributes to the desire for these men to exaggerate their masculinity.
Its like those startup companies that drop ship product after a release date, but instead its a "promise" of more masculinity to come, but it never arrives...much like their chins, non-existent.click to expand

I'm sorry but this whole mess is 😂😂😂😂
People pushing back against "societal norms" by pushing their own agenda are no better than those they seek to depose. The rush to be the next generation to "improve" the world has utterly blinded people.
Biologically speaking you're born with DNA that states you're one of two options, no matter what you want to label them. Anything beyond that has zero to do with actual gender, rather, it's about perception of what defines it by society's standards. Instead of trying to create MORE labels (and dirision), the "movement" these people subscribe to would be better served in erasing those perceptions and standards. Innies are innies, outties are outties. Dresses, nail polish, jobs, clothes, etc aren't genetic and therefore have no bearing on gender.
Quite honestly it reads like a bunch of people that have too much time and not enough real difficulties to face making them up to prove how THEY were the ones that spearheaded positive change just like (insert name of historic figure who actually faced true suffering to effect needed changes). Rather than working to remove labels, divisiveness and obstacles they're creating MORE.
Trump/MAGA wasn't about alpha white males, it was about not voting for a brainless child sniffer that is bankrupting our country while distracting us with idiotic studies supporting banning gas stoves.

And before anyone wants to make a point of it, yes I have friends who are lesbian, gay, and of races other than my own. Shockingly, none of us give a feap about making it a thing, and just get along based in personality. Several of them earn more than I do as well.

Posted by BumboklaatPosted by _ixi_Posted by BumboklaatFrankly, theories are not so easily waved away nor so common as to be trite. Most theory (if we are talking to be accepted as a theory has to have significant evidence behind it to really make it valid beyond just being a hypothesis.
Its just a theory like everything else
With the above in mind a theory is actually the highest level explanation for how and why something happens in the natural world that humans can reasonably rest on until we get more info that expands or completely debunks the claim the theory makes.
So no not "everything" is theory lol. And even if it is a theory only the foolish tritely ignore one.

Yeah I mean a theory is the highest level explanation thus far. Sometimes we look back and see progress. Sometimes we dont. In the future we will look back and rethink or forget.click to expand

Wow, Roh coming for the win!
As a society we really do reinforce this system, and some argue that the system never left...it just rebranded itself to maintain a level of concealed control in society.
I think a time will come when our losses are so detrimental in society through an immense war, environmental - social breakdown that it would be dismantled entirely, maybe then we will move towards a more egalitarian society. But just that thought alone, is depressing...because it means that great loss and breakdown is the only way to remove this aspect of control in our society that thrives off of power over others.click to expand

Being outraged at gas stoves = bad has got to be the funniest shit ever. Most of America is on electric atm... why are you so mad?
Its giving, I work at subway part time for minimum wages/no benefits but will majorly simp for my corporate overlords. Please let me suck your cock Elon.
Idgaf about citidiots on electric. Live in the north where it's cold and there's winter storms. People literally lived because when the power was out and roads too dangerous to be possible, they had gas stoves to run to keep their homes above freezing, plus ways to boil snow for safe drinking water Not to mention the cost involved in converting.
It should be a choice. You know, like my body my choice? The government really shouldn't have the right to tell me if I can use my stove or not. Like I said, the people running about waving their we're right you're wrong so we're pushing our opinion on you because you're too dumb to know what's good for you agenda all over aren't actually any better tan their predecessors. I mean, the Christians were positive THEY were saving souls when they forced conversion...but history doesn't repeat itself and the new "crusades" are actually justified THIS time...click to expand

Your Pisces moon is showing. Quote feature is broken, sorry for delay.
It's like a cancer, these mechanisms never really go away for good they just expand, retract and comeback stronger. Rebranded for a new generation who are either unaware or wilfully ignorant, so it seems like a contemporary issue and not something perpetual and ever present.
The biggest leap in social progress came before and after the Depression and World War II. In Europe the enactment of the Welfare state and in America the New Deal. Then decolonisation and independence movements throughout the Third World. It seems that something catastrophic has to take place before we come to our senses. In the near future progress will be determined by environmental concerns, we're sleepwalking into an existential climate crisis where I believe a new world order will be divided by who is directly affected by it and who isn't.

Yeah its just a cycle. Rebranding is the right word. It becomes an endless debate like everything throughout recorded history.click to expand

Your absolutely right, our infrastructure sucks ass. Having to heat your home by turning on your stove inhaling all sorts of evil shit just because there are outages is some 3rd world shit. The majority of the grid and these systems were built between the 30s and 50s and only designed to last tops 50 years and have had little investment since. Because corporate profits over people. OFC.
But instead of holding these large corporations accountable for the hundreds of deaths per year due to this failing infrastructure... instead lets make up a fake war on gas and shift your attention and ire. You really think big gas needs you to defend it?
Same shit, different day. America is a 3rd world country with a Gucci belt.
Massive storms have nothing to do with aging grids, and in addition the individual costs of upgrading homes is being ignored. Electric doesn't fall from the sky into power lines, someone somewhere is bearing the impact of its generation. It just moves it from one location to another.
I'm not defending big gas, I'm defending a right to chose. I'm not inventing the war, it's not just national its state level in some places as well. Ny and CA for instance. And honestly who cares if the majority is on electric, that's got absolutely nothing to do with whether people should be allowed to chose gas or electric. Wait for the outcry when landlords are forced to upgrade and raise rent to cover the cost. Oh wait you probably believe they don't have don't have right to earn an income either.
And to circle back, my original comment wasn't actually meant to defend gas. I said that our idiot president is using that as a smoke shield to deflect from something. Maybe it's all those documents he had illegally in his possession?click to expand

Science also says that the theory of alpha males isn’t true, and stemming from the concept of alpha male dogs isn’t the same. Wolf packs don’t have alpha males and females, and observing animal packs as a social order that the transcends to human relationships isn’t actually realistic or scientifically accurate.
This linear ranking system is a “pecking order” that can be egalitarianism to despotism ie - everyone is equal and deserves equal rights to the exercise of absolute power vs an exercise of absolute power which can be cruel and oppressive but still accepted.
I believe that there are aspects of this theory in society, and we are shifting to a more despotism mindset in society where the weak are not able to survive and social constructs are set against them from birth onwards. Socially we gravitate to egalitarianism and this is the promoted socially accepted mindset but our society is increasingly becoming a despotism apocalyptic like destructive planet.
Not to get political: but you can see these two mindsets playing out in North American political parties to a degree.
Essentially social dominance is a player in the collapse and extinction of civilization as we know it today. Tyranny is now being supported more and more through extremism, and sadly anyone deemed lesser than - ie - perceived beta makes, women, children, elderly, disabled, LGBTQIA2s+ and any POC is classified into categories that are increasing discrimination that fall into subcategories that deserve their own protection and discussion.
The PEW research Center has a lot of information on this topic.
Lastly, I think the promotion of this type of divisional thinking further promotes this mindset and the roots of this “social hierarchy” is deeply imbed in racism and classism that is ultimately part of the downfall of our current society and has played a key part in previous societal breakdowns we’ve seen before in history.
