well i use to date really sexy muscular men with an ego the size of a house, but the majority of them were douche bags. not all, but a good percentagethe guy im dating is not my type, or so my friends and family say. But i think that was the point. it was a bit to adjust to at first, because i had an MO for guys with muscles and a bike, but i must say...i'm happy with my decision. we share a lot of likes and similarities and he treats me like a queen. i like his mind and enjoy the times we spend together. In my eyes, he is amazing.
he has captivated me, and i have no complaints
I can relate. I used to be attracted to very attractive men. Mainly men who were heavily sought after. I think it was an ego thing for me, to be able to tame these men who a lot of other women wanted to (but couldn't) tame. But that become old, I became old(er), and it got tired and played out. Lol
My ex Aqua was not my typical type by any means. But he was very intelligent and charismatic and I can easily say he was my first TRUE love. The guy I am dating now, is very attractive BUT that is merely by happenstance. Lol. So far, his intellect match his looks. He is the perfect blend of serious/smart and goofy....so far.

I can't get away from the superficial, but i really want a guy to want me, and show me, and be there for me 100% ....

Older I get the less of a type I have. As long as we can operate on all levels that's more than enough of a challenge for me. I like relationships where you can be spiritual, shallow, material and even childish with emotions. Also imperfection is great. Nothing like imperfection for sex appeal.
If you think of a woman with whom you have been the MOST happy, what did she look like? What was she like as far as her personality?
I can't get away from the superficial, but i really want a guy to want me, and show me, and be there for me 100% ....

As in GENUINELY happy? That's never existed for me. The level of happiness I feel nowadays puts the kiddie stuff in the shade and firmly in the past.
For the sake of examples though, short term relationship I had - she had long dark hair, dark features (she was Italian from North/Central Italy). As far as her personality she was intense, very convinced and firm. She was also playful and knew how to take the piss out of any situation. But I wouldn't say I stuck around long enough to get the full picture. As soon as she started turning controlling towards me I was out.

i'm so wildly different when it comes to DATING and actual relationship.
For dating, I like women who are curvy and flirtatious. I need my first thought to be sex and that is when I'm most inclined to be charming and woo her.
For relationship, the first thought can NEVER be sex. I have never dated a girl where I first set my eyes on her and thought "Penetrate". I just know. it's a homely feeling. I have to feel like.......... i want to take this girl to Chapters and see what she likes to read. You know in American Gangster when Frank Lucas saw his soon to be wife... he doesn't rush it... moment is perfectly captured by Denzel. That is exactly how I have to feel when I see someone to be something more than sex.

lol always happy to live up to the scales.I've only had one long term relationship where the person got to know me better than I knew myself. That was 3 years long (although it felt like 5 because she kept telling me it was five until I realized it wasn't).
And 4 or so short term relationships. Two engagements.

Men come in waves for me. Lol.
A few years ago, it felt like all I dated was lighter men. Those were the men who primarily approached me. With my ex Aqua, he was more brown and the guy I recently started dating is a more of a brown as well. So definitely not light. I dont like men who are TOO light or pale. Lol. No lost members from 3T allowed. Lol.
I typically like taller men. More masculine. For example the guy I am dating now, is 6'3, 200 lbs...built somewhat like a wide receiver, brown skin, short fade, well dressed, nice lips, (ha!) goatee... Yea...
I like tall and lean. I also like men who carry a presence with them. When they walk in a room, everyone feels it.

My tastes have remained fairly consistent over the years. I find myself being hopelessly attracted to the same characters over and over again without fail.Physically -
Women: short to average height, around 5'2" to 5'5" is the golden range; petite but pleasantly plump figure with a healthy bust and thighs; smooth dark complexion; dark hair; dark eyes; full lips and sweet smile; rounded features.
Men: no specific height range but in the past they've averaged around 5'8" to 5'10"; somewhat athletic body type but not overly muscular although I still tend to err towards the thick chest; not too hairy; fair complexion; dark hair; blue/green eyes; "pretty"; sharp and angular features.
Third-gender parties can be a mash-up of any of those features.
Mentally -
Quick witted; good sense of humor; balanced between extro/introversion leaning slightly towards introversion; highly creative and imaginative; a little hedonistic and indulgent; maybe semi-dependent; stubborn; relationship oriented; unfiltered honesty; loyal.
Emotionally -
They have to be as crazy, freaky, combative, and passionate as I am or they won't last long at all. Bonus points if their character is strong enough to keep mine in line.

As I have gotten older, I have observed my "type" changing.... Certain things remain consistent, but, the things that I looked for in a man five years ago are not necessarily the same things I look for now. Physically, mentally, and definitely emotionally.
I have also noticed that different men approach me based on how I am dressed and (surprisingly) how my hair is - straight versus curly.... Strange...
