LOL @ Domino playing the victim. If I remember correctly, it was Domino who started talking shit to Ian in that other thread (and many others) for NO reason, other than, well....to start shit. Ian said something about his OCD and that now makes Domino the victim.

Don't start shit if you can't handle the responses. You are constantly on here taking stabs at people, but god forbid they 'cross the line' and mention your OCD, or your hideous appearance.

Give me a break and grow up little boy.

interesting chicken and egg debate about ocd. I reckon it's not down to a chemical imbalance on its own, but environmental triggers leaving the sufferer feeling out of control. Probably triggered by a situation where the ocd sufferer is not in control of a particular situation and compensates by overly controlling one part of their life. So will be a combination of genetic and environmental rather than just a chemical reaction. It's all interlinked. But I reckon ocd is a symptom of an extreme anxiety/hysteria reaction. My friend's sister developed it when overwhelmed by an overly controlling husband. She felt out of control with her life so she took control of the dishes, cleaning each one about thirty times...so of course anti anxiety type remedies will be used to try to help, but that does not address the root of the problem.

The way I see it Domino...you think/want to be Mr DXP himself, you are seeking followers (cos in your crazy little mind you think yourself better than these people and think they need to follow someone) personally I thought most of your threads were utter crap so never really participated.

If Threads, of which you started a heap, were going well you revelled in the glory but if anyone else had a thread that got alot of attention you would come and start knocking the original OP.

And to be honest the statements you are making in this thread are bringing out your true colours...the new kid on the block that was soooo popular has/will lose favour for the pompous crap that you are now spewing. However if you dont think you have done enough damage...keep it up!!!

Domino was the only one anyone seemed to really like as for the other 2 alter-egos, they blew it for you.

Still DXP will be around alot longer than you and so will alot of us 🙂

OCD is a disorder of thoughts that trigger anxieties. Not the same thing as being a trauma victim/self worth issues.

Yes but all thoughts come from somewhere and anxious thoughts come from the subconscious. I was thinking of a proxy version of the comfort rocking you see in disturbed children. But in OCD the anxiety vs safety is transferred to inanimate objects like drawing a circle of chalk in films about the supernatural. I didn't think it was necessarily down to a typical trauma, but more fear of being out of control or maybe the usual fear of annhilation of the self. Or maybe those prone to OCD have a different version of what constitutes a trauma. A much narrower playing field.

If it wasn't in part an environmentally triggered disorder then people would not go through phases when they overcome it. But of course the type of individual who will feel this type of anxiety will have had a genetic or developmental issue with their amygdala and the whole serotonin production imbalance. I think there is a causal link with phobias on the environmental side and autism spectrum on the physiological side. Certainly the amygdala not working properly is linked to AS. Doesnt it go into overdrive with OCD - a bit like hyperthyroidism? That cute almond shaped thing causes so many problems for people. But there must be many types of OCD. It's a spectrum too isn't it?
