I don't know many who are still defending him. Most of the people think he was a boy molester but they still like his music. The downfall of his career is an example of how many people judged him and believed he was guilty. I personally don't have an opinion about it, I just like his music

Many people definitely do defend him even until this day, more than the amount of people who say bad things about him. His record sales before his death and especially after it also suggests that and all the homages dedicated to him as well. He never had a downfall, he just died. He may have had bad press and whatnot but, he was going on one of the biggest tours of his life before he died. And up until his death he was still one of the most, if not the most successful celebrity of his time.

Interesting to see someone's else perception. I honestly didn't meet or talked to many people who thought he was not guilty. I personally felt his career went down - he tried to revive it with few singles but no success. I believe his tour would be a huge success, people are attached to his old music and to the person he was before the scandal.

A lot of other celebrities got blackmailed and had to pay money to people who made up lies about them, he wasn't the only one. In MJ's case, the circumstances just allowed for it to be easier. He was an easy target. He had a ranch that was his home that kids wanted to visit and asked to stay in and unfortunately he was naive enough to let them stay over.

You know what they say, it's always the person closest to you, that you actually trust them with your kids, that do this.

Maybe he was naive, but he had a lot of people around him who I am sure advised him that that was not a good idea. Sleeping with boys in one bed is just calling for trouble. The whole trial and details around it seem ambiguous and its not clear what actually happened there. Its not like the OJ case where it was clear as a day and he still got away... which just confirms, just because you got a jail out of free card, it doesn't mean you are not guilty smh

No, he had a life & a name to protect unlike them. Court cases go on forever & he had things to get back to ie. concerts etc. So he settled out of court because he had better things to do & I'm sure he knew exactly what they were after so he gave it to them...a fat cheque.

A man liking kids doesn't mean he is a paedophile lol...that's insane. Other people just have a soft spot for kids because well, kids are non-judgmental & will accept a person plastic nose & all. He was accused more than once, why did the other families let their kids be in the company of a person accused of molestation in the 1st place? It makes no sense. It's like diving into the ocean to go french kiss a shark knowing fully well that it bites. I say it was all a trap, get the kid close to him & then scream abuse. The others got money out of it, so would we...that must have been their plan all along.

MJ was so different that he went against the grain, and plus his childhood, lack of a "normal" upbringing = working his butt off due to his father's insistence, kind of made him want to "escape", and go into fantasy land.
Poor MJ though, people just didnt understand him on a deeper level, because he didnt allow himself to be what everyone wanted him to be. he did that for his father,his family, but ultimately in the end, he just wanted to be him. He liked the company of innocents who didnt judge him than the company of those who were money hungry grubbers and looked at him like a big fat dollar bill.
