Word coincidences

First of all I thought about putting this under the heading of Paranormal but I don't know if that area of the site is much visited so I have decided to put it on here.

Anyway, what this is about is when I have got say the radio going in the background (I usually listen to a spoken-word station) but am reading at the same time (either a book or magazine or on the Internet) and it suddenly happens that the same word unexpectedly occurs simultaneously on the radio and in what I am reading: this could be any word at all (for example yesterday the word happened to be "Russians"). This has been going on with me for many years and the most striking example was once the Bob Seger song "Against The Wind" was playing in the background while I was reading a newspaper and the words "cowboys ride" coincided!

I understand that this phenomenon is actually not that uncommon but still would be interested to hear of when this has happened to other people.
