That poor, poor Pisces Moon

...........................................................................................................

Or, the Cassandra Complex.

I was reading an article of the same title about the (poor, poor) Pisces Moon, and found this intriguing:

When the natal moon is in Pisces, it imbues a strong psychic sense.

Sixth sense, intuition, prophetic dreams and the —Cassandra Complex.??

The —Cassandra Complex?? refers to the myth about a prophetess who was cursed in a way that her predictions were absolutely true and no one believed her.

Cassandra Complex
Wiki

The Cassandra metaphor... occurs when valid warnings or concerns are dismissed or disbelieved.

The term originates in Greek mythology.

Cassandra was a daughter of Priam, the King of Troy.

Struck by her beauty, Apollo provided her with the gift of prophecy, but when Cassandra refused Apollo's romantic advances, he placed a curse ensuring that nobody would believe her warnings.

Cassandra was left with the knowledge of future events, but could neither alter these events nor convince others of the validity of her predictions.

This happens to me, usually when I'm giving an unfavorable assessment of someone's character.

And more often that not, I am not believed.

Or worse-- I'm perceived as just being mean.

Then lo, and behold... I was right. 😐

Any other Pisces Moons experience this?

I have a pisces moon too but... from limited experience I've had reading your posts on this site you seem to think you can read what someone meant without them ever saying so.

I know this is a pisces trait but from my point of view you seem to take liberties with it.

My moon is in the 11th house and not in the 12th house like yours so...
could just be you really do read people better then me but I can't help but wonder how you jump to the conclusions you do sometimes.

Truthfully, this is only based off of two instances that I witnessed so they could be isolated incidents.
*shrug*

If they aren't and you know you do this a lot my polite and humble suggestion to you would be to try and stop jumping to your conclusions without anything really to substantiate it.
I have this problem myself at times. People give me distinct vibes that I am rarely wrong about but it is unfair to the other party to cast judgement on them without having anything to back it up. I have jumped the gun on people a couple of times in my life that I found out later on were totally the opposite from what I thought they were about or how I perceived them to be and think.

I have experienced that *feeling* that maybe I misjudged.

But invariably, they will slip back into exactly what made me thing badly of them in the first place.

:/

In the real world...yes. Initially it would bother me if I were not believed. Then, I just would say what I had to say...and later I get the "YOU WERE RIGHT OMG"!!! b.s. I learned in the real world, I know what I know and it's ok if I'm not believed...it always comes back up later on. My closest friends have realized, I may sound off the wall but they listen. It can be a pain in the ass though, because when they want me to meet their dates/new guy it is hard to tell them "it's not going to work" so I avoid that now.

In dxp...lol...I'm called by some as "delusional" I take it as a compliment. 😄

About the following two quotes from the article:

"Poor Pisces Moon, wears its little heart right out there on its sleeve, or so it would seem, and then, everyone comes along to take a poke at that heart."

"The Scorpio and 8th house placements are my body guards for those who try to "poke" at my heart. I am forever grateful for that because I am one who will give the shirt off my back and help someone at the drop of a hat. With those placements, I'm able to know when it's safe to do just that."

"The obvious choices are to live near the coast, or on a lake, or a river, or even just a stream. Failing at that, the simple inclusion of water images, a soothing beach scene, or sailboats gliding across a bay, a natural lake nestled in a mountain??s valley."

My entire life I've lived by water. I can sit by a waterfall in the middle of the woods and get lost in thought for hours. The ocean is serenity for me. I thrive around water so that is absolutely true.

Anyone else have prophetic dreams?

I sure hope so! Last night I dreamed I was at a beautiful cabin resort in Switzerland and skiing. I met six men. Three of which I was mesmerized by. If there was a professional sketch artist with me right now, I could describe all three.

Considering I am sick of the snow, I found it odd how much fun I had frolicking down the slopes in it!

"That poor, poor Pisces Moon"

Sorry, I don't buy it 😉

Cassandra's story is one of my favorite ones. The martyrdom of the one person who knows where things are at.

It reminds me of the story with Diogenes: (that's how I see a lot of Pisces Moons)

"A man once struck him with a beam, and then said, "Take care." "What," said he, "are you going to strike me again?" He used to say that the demagogues were the servants of the people; and garlands the blossoms of glory. Having lighted a candle in the day time, he said, "I am looking for a man.""

Lately I'm wondering whether I'm actually giving people the benefit of the doubt or finding that one incriminating evidence that they are just rotten to the core.

So yeah I can relate to it. More so with people I meet in person, much much harder to decipher online. I don't even know why but just a weird vibe that someone just doesn't piece together right. I suppose I approach it more like nacho does... even if I sense something wrong it would be unfair to jump to conclusions.

—A fire broke out backstage in a theatre. The clown came out to warn the public; they thought it was a joke and applauded. He repeated it; the acclaim was even greater. I think that's just how the world will come to an end: to general applause from wits who believe it's a joke.??
?? S??ren Kierkegaard, Either/Or, Part I

This also makes me remember Pisces Moons, as the clown in this scenario.

"... an honest man."

Tell me more, young Aries moon... your pontification is endearing. 😄
