Hmmm... This was a cross between omega man and night of the living dead... It even looked like it was made in the 70's because of the odd camera filters they used... I didn't think it was the greatest movie... I thought that the first hour and a half was way too slow and then it was way to graffic and gory... Johnny Boy (He's the one who wanted to go see it in the first place)loved it and thought it was an awesome movie because it was so weird... I don't think there's anything new about it though...
28 days later
I think it's a guy movie.
The teaser's do look interesting though.. I liked the Omega man for the chill factor.. same as the Body Snatchers theme.. the fear you're the last one, etc.. and everyone knows it..
Re: anything new (in movies,in general) it's getting harder to find or think of (produce?) new concepts. A friend of mine gave me his views.. that everything seems to be expressed as movie combinations.. like your apt description above. (Meaning it's getting easier to "see" those descriptions as the movie film base gets larger each year.) His point being the easier to describe new movies, in terms of older ones are indicative of no new ideas, etc. It's got me thinking.. there are probably only so many types of conflict.. man against nature, man vs man, etc. and all the rest are just varients. (I think I'd have liked film study classes.. as a thought.)
lol... the types of conflict found in stories... this reminds me of a discussion in 9th grade english *shudder*
