I have to say, I really loved the first one (Fellowship of the Ring), because it kept me wanting more at the end. I was so disappointed when it just flatlined at the end, but the second one (Two Towers), had less action to it.
The final (Return of the King) was good, but rather lengthy. Just as we were expecting it to end, it kept going. I can watch a long movie at home better than I can at the movies. I can always put it on pause, go to the bathroom, get some snacks, etc.
All in all, I really enjoyed all of them. The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that the first and second ones had extended versions that weren't shown at the movies. Those showed some vital parts that were missing in the movies. For example, they were all given cloaks, but we didn't see who gave them to them or why they gave them to them. We only found out in part two what they were good for.
I thought the first one was the best. The second one strayed from the book too much, but was still good. The last one tried to make up for the second one, but had way too much storyline to fit into the time so wound up leaving out a lot of plot which left fans like me annoyed that their favorite parts of the book were ignored. Oh, and that last scene in it where they have the close up on Frodo's face is just desturbingly too long. I was thinking: come on, Elijah Wood is cute and all, but do I really need to see his face stretched out on the big screen for ten minutes? That smile just get's annoying. I was waiting for one nicely aimed orc arrow to end it all so I could finally leave.
The only book I read that had anything to do with Lord of the Rings was The Hobbit, and I guess that's a good thing because I couldn't really get annoyed with the plot. But sitting in one position for three hours sucked, I should've waited till it was out on video so I didn't have to watch it all in one sitting.

A very interguing book for u all to find. it's not about apes more apporpitaly aboout us humans. it's truly about the sexual revoution of men and women. I love this book. my mother said she couldn't read beacause it was to deep for her.<
Mine are "On Golden Pond", and "Bringing Up Baby". There's also one from like the fifties, where she's on a boat...I want to say it's "The African Queen", but I could be wrong...

What did anyone else think of them?
