No.. this was no trip to Vegas-- it was one violent, disturbing film-- that has enough gore to make Stephen King turn away with horror. Definitely not for the weak stomach or sensitive heart. The shining quality of the film are the creative special effects-- use of color/ and unique form of character development.
Sin City
Sin City was awesome. It's amazing the way they took the pictures from the comic book and created exact replicas in the screen shots. It was wonderfully dark, but not too bad as far as gore because it was black and white. Very artsy, very cool. I must own, definitely.
I agree with you, I enjoyed the use of color/special effects/character development-- the plot had a "Pulp Fiction" sort-of feel, except not as cleverly written in terms of dialogue. But, just because the blood wasn't red, didn't make the scenes any less gross for me-- or the movie less violent.
I usually cannot watch gory movies but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The style the movie was done in was amazing. Although during the first half I was thinking get me out of here as the movie progresses it gets better. I really felt like I was actually watching rather than reading a comic book and not just an adaptation...
