Johnny Depp received critical acclaim for his role in Sweeney Todd but did not win the Best Leading Actor award at the Oscars. He is praised for his performance, which contributed to the film's success and popularity.
Im not a musical person (It really annoys me)....so Im not sure if I want to see it or not.
You'll love it, M.
Like you, I am not a fan of musicals. But this, this is MAGIC. Dark magic.
I still cannot get the tunes out of my head.

lol
I loved the movie...
Creepiest moment for me was
when I caught myself smiling
at Mr. Todd as he was about to
slit the judge's throat. Yikes!
I loved the ending! Sad as it was. 😢
I saw this one in Blockbuster and ALMOST picked it up...it looked like a sappy, dramatic Tim Burton-esque flick. Maybe I will give it another shot.
Johnny.. 🙂
And Johanna really had an amazingly beautiful voice.
I really liked the movie, and Depp was fabulous as always. Except for that one terrific song he sang at his barber's quarters while holding his razor-can't remember the name; i have to agree with Mr. Nice, i think the plot content itself was more than enough; too much singing took away some of the edge and distracted the mood.. *but of course another Depp movie i know i will buy..
Loved the movie but totally spoilt with the Singing, whoever told Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter they could sing, should be SHOT!!
It was hard work to keep watching it with those "Bloody Awful Voices" virtually singing their way through

Could Johnny Depp BE any more awesome— Oh yea, and Tim Burton too.
I want him to win best leading actor on Sunday.
