(sorry Parallax, I just had to watch it, lol)

Alright, here's the thing about this movie...it's so, so, so incredibly graphic and *disturbing*, I mean really mentally disturbing, that I suggest you only watch it if you have the highest tolerance for that kind of thing. I almost had to stop the movie a couple times because it was just a bit much. It was definitely scary, but even more *disturbing* and screwed up. This is the re-make I'm talking about, by the way...I think it came out last year. Never saw the original, but...goodness. lol. This was crazy-scary. (Like, it will give you nightmares if you're at all sensitive to gore, chainsaws, etc.)

I have never seen Midnight Express, but...ugh...yeah, very gross. 😛 This statement made me laugh: "Hannibal Lector doesn?t scare me because he?s an old man, and I could knock his teeth out, and be done with it." Well, then. lol. I don't doubt that you could. I'm so glad you're never gonna get eaten. 🙂 I didn't know there was an "original" Red Dragon - interesting! I saw the new one, a couple years ago and liked it.

Psycho scared me only because of the music. I saw that for the first time maybe a year or two ago. If I was 11 or 12 though, it would have scared me big time. I've heard of Johnny Get Your Gun before, but nobody told me what it was about, my, my...sounds heavy.

I think the version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre w/ Rene Zellweger *is* a spoof, but I'm not entirely sure. I looked it up on the internet, and it didn't say that it was, but it also didn't get very good reviews, so maybe it was, without trying to be. You know? 😛 So, you're a fan of Ms. Zellweger? She's pretty good, I think. Most of the movies I've seen with her in them, were good. I especially liked her in "Jerry Maguire", because I felt like I could identify with certain qualities of her personality as that character. (Not all, but some of the ways she acted.)

I can certainly understand your preference for life-affirming movies/serious dramas. I get somewhat upset when I've spent 2 hours watching a movie and at the end I feel worse about life than I did to begin with.

Grossest scene I can think of: little Linda Blair when she's possessed - just everything about it, the makeup, the yucky yuckies all over her, the pea soup, the hair, the head spinning - yep, the head spinning is the worst. lol.

I think you should give the Butterfly Effect a try, though. My opinion is that you will come away with something, from seeing it.

I almost forgot; when I was on vacation recently, one of the places we went to was the Wax Museum, and they had a Horror section. It was great. One of the displays was a wax figure of Linda Blair when she was possessed, and her head was spinning! I need to figure out a way to post pictures here on the boards...I have many to share, that was a great little tour we took. I loved it. There might be a picture of me next to a very debonair, very wax Tom Selleck...I think there is. Tom Selleck, you know...of "phoenix's first sex dream" fame. lol!

Tom was a former Marlboro Man??! I had no idea. You're always telling me new things; it's exciting. I never know what new thing I'm going to learn when you post. 🙂 Very cool.

That's fricking hilarious that you had a sex dream about Bonnie Franklin. I used to love watching that show as a kid. I assume they were re-runs since the show is slightly before my time (I think?), but I didn't know the difference at the time. I remember the mechanic with the enormous moustache. And I remember thinking Barbara was too much of a goodie goodie and that the other sister (can't remember her name, Mackenzie Phillips) was too much of a baddie baddie. 🙂

Especially torrid, you say. lol. Well, she did have a cute haircut; I can see how things between the two of you could have evolved from there. 😛 Yeah, I have that same "God knows where that came from" thing about my Tom Selleck dream. I just remember watching Magnum P.I. a lot as a kid, and I liked that he was kind of hairy. lol. But not in an icky, hairy way. 😛 Hmm...waxing poetic...is that what they're calling that these days? Haha...
