Weezer: The Green Album Radiohead: The Bends Pete Yorn: Musicforthemorningafter The Vines: Highly Evolved The Strokes: Is This It
And I ordered two different Travis albums: "The Man Who" and...and I think the other is called "Invisible Band". (I think).
I haven't had time to listen to every album in its entirety yet, but I've listened to the majority of The Vines' Highly Evolved and really liked it, would give it an 8 out of 10 stars, for all-around goodness. I've listened to about half of the Pete Yorn album and *it is one of the best cds I have ever bought in my life, so far*. I am giving it 10 out of 10 stars, already. 😛 Great musician, great singer, great music. The song "Strange Condition" really does something for me, it's so beautiful, but not too slow, either. I've listened to most of the Strokes cd, and would give it a 9 out of 10 - very, very good music. The Weezer cd I've already heard most of, just wanted it for posterity's sake. (9 out of 10 for that one, too). Can't wait for my Travis cds to get here...I sampled their music from a website and fell in love with it.
Read me the letter, baby, do not leave out the words. Stories and cigarettes ruined lives of lesser girls, and I wanna know, ?cos I want you to know, and it?s a strange condition, a day in prison, it?s got me out of my head and I don?t know what I came for. Send me the money, baby, do not leave out the wage. You know you?re the best thing ever to come out of this place, hey I want you to know, ?cos I wanna know and it?s a strange condition, a day in prison, it?s got me out of my head and I don?t know what I came for, I want you to know... it?s a strange condition, a day in prison, it?s got me out of my head and I don?t know what I came for, I want you to know, I want you to know... so leave out the others, baby, say I?m the only one, cut out the uniforms and settle with the sun, hey I want you to know, ?cos I wanna know, and it?s a strange condition, and life in prison, it?s got me outta my head and I don?t know what I came for, I want you to know... ?cos I wanna know, yeah I gotta know...

I can't even tell you how much this bugs me...I've been talking about all these good songs on our continuous loop cd at work, but I need to mention that not all of the songs are good. Get ready to hear something shocking and shameful. There's a g-damned
GREAT NEW rock song. It's actually called "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and it's by this really odd band called The Darkness. Watch the video on launch.com (you know, they should really pay me for all my promoting. lol) It's a great song.
I need some new music, badly...it's been way too long since I bought a CD. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who likes mainly alternative rock, and classic rock (but not heavy metal or rap)?
