Best parenting advice I ever got was from my parents, to Not to be like them.

And I really mean it in real life. I wish I had parents for 1 day as my son gets from me every day.

Boomers and Boomer Pisces (never seen good Pisces parent) were just not good parents.

At least you learned from the their mistakes and went im to be a better parent to your boy.

What would you say was their worst mistakes?

It definitely makes you wonder what kind of parents THEY had. When I see shitty parents I just assume either they didn’t have anyone to model good parenting to them, or they were just innately selfish and should have never been parents. Or maybe both.

An author I follow who has a small child said that her “other baby” (the first one is her book) started to walk yesterday and she’s so fed up having to keep picking him up…she seemed really pissed off, no joy, and says how tired she is and then in an enthusiastic voice “now onto the edits”

Book before baby

Really cold 🥶

No mistakes was their worst mistake. They were just not there, Boomers went to work (both). So no memories with them. They were not very bad parents even though both have Moon in Pisces, but simply not there.

I never knew how they were until I had my own kids. I realized just giving them a bit of sincere time is all you need. And supporting them even in crazy moments is good.

My partner and I are in disagreement on the raising an entitled child when we don't belong to elite class.

My feelings are to raise her in a way that she believes she belongs anywhere she wants to be. Because often times the lack of belief in ourselves is our own biggest barrier.

He thinks that misclassed entitlement, will land you in jail, because you don't have the money or power to get you through it.

Then hopefully your beliefs will rub off on her and in the end she’ll do whatever the hell she wants. Belief in oneself is the most important thing growing up, together with knowing you’re loved of course.

Does her father want to raise her the way he was raised?

me: "my baby woke up crying last night and i found him on his stomach"

internet result: "A wide range of rolling behaviors is typical, and most babies roll over for the first time between 2 and 4 months of age. However, when babies roll very early or seem to have other uncontrolled movements, it may be a sign of cerebral palsy. Early rolling can signal characteristic differences in reflexes."

I would recommend reading on topics like parenting style s, parental overvaluation and its consequences (such as narcissism), positive illusions linked to self-perception.. You CAN foster self-love and confidence in a child without all the pitfalls that delusion brings.

most decent preschool nearby is a waldorf. never really thought i'd send my kid to one but anyone got any experience with it? looking into other places but the space to run around looks real attractive to me. i think a growing boy would like that.

I have training in Steiner-Waldorf, I found is similar to my own personal methodology as I'm a trained musician and a drama school dropout so I like integrating art in education. Also, languages. I think if there is one drawback you may found is that it may delay the development of a specialist mindset, as a teacher it feels as if you are creating mini jack of all trades who will know everything (and understand nothing lol).

I always recommend it (parents love it!) but make your own judgement, check reviews, try to witness a class by yourself, if possible talk with parents...

about 6 weeks, he's a Leo 🦁🦁

i can't believe he can roll around so soon but he's strong and keeps lifting his legs even when he's on his stomach. but he does these expressions with his mouth that makes me paranoid about it being a symptom of this or that but he was cleared of any conditions upon birth so maybe i'm just crazy. there was that time when we had some doubts about his hearing but that was cleared up too.

even when i'm just casually shopping for baby stuff, people usually pick up on the fact that it's my first time prob coz of how manic i sound like that time he got a bit sick. chatting up baby section sales staff about breastfeeding for almost an hour prob doesn't help 🤭🤭

I am entirely frustrated with my 22 yo daughter. Nothing I can do but be there for support and listening ear. She seems intent on destroying her life 😞 I feel bad that some of her behaviors she probably learned from me trying to save her dad’s life.

All I can do now is remind her that’s not how it works… aka enabling, trying to save someone etc.

That's rough. It's hard to watch your kid hit their head, especially when you know its their choice to do it. Stay strong mama❤️ Anything interesting in her transits?

I have 2 Scorpio daughters myself. Scorpio is one of my favorite signs. Does she have more than 1 planet in Scorpio? Both my daughters have 4 planet stelliums and I'm always curious of other Scorpios cuz it seems the way the astronomy works there is usually at least 1 or 2 other planets hanging with sun in scorpio season.

Also Scorpio in Mercury. She is

Scorpio sun

Virgo moon

Scorpio mercury

Cap venus

Libra mars

She also has also gone through some major stuff. Dad an alcoholic who she watched me try to save til she was 11 when I left. He is now dying of cirrhosis & liver cancer. A year ago she found out about the cancer & that the meds aren’t working for his liver, so transplant is the last hope. She has was diagnosed with chronic anxiety & severe depression in 7th grade. Had a bad concussion summer after 6 th grade and diagnosed with post-concussive syndrome in 7th grade. She has worked her butt off to fight for life lots of therapy, and she has been in multiple relationships with other broken people who she has tried to save. The last one is with an addict, abusive and no matter what is trying to save her. It’s so hard 😢 I’ve been trying to get this through her head, she’s been back & forth over the last few months. Totally fell into a hole & is now trying to climb out but is having trouble letting go. She started dating her right after she found out about her dad. We saw him at a concert a couple of months ago with his eyes yellow & skin looked a grey color. It’s not good obviously 😞 but she’s obviously having trouble with this. Of course

I don’t know what the transits mean.. I did just run that.

You can check in her chart to see what transits which house. For example 1st, 8th and 12th can be really hard with malefics there. Where is her Saturn also and what house is transiting Saturn in now? She has had her first nodal return few years ago so that's usually a life changing time. Next will be with next reverse return or Saturn's return. Don't lose hope though, sometimes children can get themselves out eventually, despite how hopeless it might seem. I know several who had major issues in life and are doing fine now. I was jumping from one problem into another at that age and it all worked out for the best. Make sure she has your support and guidance in as much as possible. She might not value it too much now, but she will over time for sure.

Her Saturn is in Taurus, Saturn just moved from 11th to 12th house it appears. Transits 1st house - Chiron, north node & Jupiter 8th house mars & 12th house Saturn & Neptune

She had been super responsible at 19 & the last 2years have been full of very BAD decisions like her Ego got in the way. Took a spiral last August & has just been working again and starting to get it together, changing counselors/psychiatrist etc. She actually appreciates me a lot. I am her safe place so she shows up when life has beaten her down and she needs mom, support & advice. Always been the one where the support is for both my kids. While my ex is off trying to kill himself ( um Aries) and no help whatsoever. My son ( Leo ) is amazing for his little sister though. Poor kid grew up in a house of fire lol

Ugh, she has malefic transits same as me now 😐 this is by far the worst time in my life so I get it...she's then Pisces or Aries rising I assume? At 19 she had her nodal return so that's the time of changes, either she starts on her NN path or she fails and continues making mistakes of living her SN. I assume then based on what you described choice was SN. If it's of any consolation, I'll give tou an example of my friend that had really rough life and has similar father. Her mom killed herself and her baby sister when she was 6. Mom was depressed, didn't know what she was doing...she was raised by her grandparents cause her father became alcoholic too. Idk if he's still alive but doubt so. If I remember well last time I saw her, he was in same situation as your ex. Father remarried later, she got step sister that she had no relation with, just like with her father and his new wife. She hated them. She tried to kill herself once too. Grandma was strict and not understanding at all, but at least she cared for her...all in all, you can see how she had no support growing up, yet she's gotten through it all somehow and is doing just fine now. She also had troubled relationships for a while, but eventually found a great guy that she's still with to this day. Things do work out even in complicated life situations, but people need to get through it on their own. It's much easier when you have a support and someone to rely on so I believe it's just something she has to go through in life, but she has the two of you for support

ugh!! That’s not good news, but I think she is working through it now at least instead of staying in the hellhole the girlfriend helped create. She’s Aries rising so you were right about that. She just called me after seeing a psychiatrist. She’s never had one before, only counselors. She’s going back on Zoloft so that’s good news. It worked great when she was in high school. She said she was relieved because she told her, we will figure this out and get you back where you need to be. Counselor & Psych is what she needs apparently. In Middle school, she did try to kill herself and was cutting. And her fathers side of the family was saying nothing was wrong.. ugh. Guess as an an adult she is starting to manage her own care so that’s good 🙂

Idk I haven’t checked. I should do that. She’s a Scorpio though.

It’s so hard I’ve been trying to get this through her head, she’s been back & forth over the last few months.

That's good, she's working on it to get better. It will help her I'm sure, that's just quite delicate age, plus astrologically looking at it those changes happen around that age and add to that those harsh transits...it can be overbearing. Situation with her father certainly affected her too, I can only imagine how destructive, but sensitive sign reacts to such scenario. Good thing about Scorpio at least is that it's not only destructive, but it also rebuilds everything from the scratch, so you can expect transformations in her life over the time. I'm glad she's getting help that she needs, that's a good sign and it shows she'll work through it.

Thank goodness I left him when I did. The last straw was she was getting worse from the stress/tension. What you’re saying is what I’m hoping. I did go from demanding she listen to me to understanding I couldn’t fix it & just being support. Tough job to be a mom sometimes.

It'll be ok. Difficult times come and go, we just need to get through them. Just keep an eye on her and make sure she's making progress in that therapy. Having chiron in 1st and Saturn in 12 also has one possible meaning about having constrained movement. It can mean jail or hospital, some kind of institution to say. So because of what you wrote just keep an eye on her business so that she doesn't end up doing something that could put her in such spots. It's important to pay attention to your health during that time. You had a difficult life having to deal with her father life that, it's very hard thing to do imo. But no one should be suffering for another person's poor life choices. And cirrhosis is a very difficult illness, specially when caused by alcohol. I know about three people who have/had it, only one was alcoholic (that friend's father).

@Stubborn Sag I had to start a new thread it ran out of room. She’s doing much better than she would have, with me there & my support. It’s a constant learning how to manage her life. The reason she’s back on Zoloft is I pushed her to find a doctor who would put her on on it again. She’d been off for 3 years & her life fell apart off it. Psychiatrist was the right doc to go to, general doctor didn’t get it as much, and counselor can’t prescribe meds. So we discuss how she’s doing quite a bit. I try to keep tabs on her & she has always been good about communicating with me. As she knows, I’m the one true support no matter what.

Her father well yes I learned the hard way getting dragged down with him. Now I understand far more. It’s been 12 years almost. He didn’t have cirrhosis when I left, had been sober for 12 years after a near death experience when we were married ( with my support) Unfortunately he didn’t do what he should & ended up in a major enabling situation with his parents. He refused to walk the heathy way with me, and 2 years after divorce started dating someone who is also an alcoholic and walked the toxic road with her, finding someone to enable him, he ended up in this position. It’s sad because it could’ve been different. But it is what he chose. Neither of my kids talk to him much now & think he’s brought this upon himself. Anyway my dad died of Diabetes complications, and one of them Cirrhosis so I knew the signs. He didn’t drink alcohol at all. So in 2019 when my ex started telling me what was happening, I said it’s your liver STOP drinking now. But it was too late.

Thank you for your thoughts about all this & the transits.
