When someone loves you

How do you feel when someone loves you the right way but u can’t reciprocate? Like genuine love.

Do you feel guilty, shame not my problem that’s life.

I’ve never been in that situation

Where you have to tell them u don’t feel that way. But I don’t even entertain if I’m not feeling it. So it’s foreign to me.

If you genuinely love somebody, wouldn't you want to see them happy?

Then you are fine understanding it is what is.

This has been the biggest lesson for me in 2021/22. Meeting people where they are at and not over exerting myself or having resentment because they don't or can't love me in the way I love them. I am specifically talking about family and friends.

I was doing too much and feeling like I wasn't getting the same return on my investment. But taking a step back outside my own ego its like, no. I am setting myself up for failure each time. If my love for them is genuine then I will give what I can give without the weight of expectations.

It feels like it’s been so long since I’ve had to deal with any of that youngling nonsense. People shouldn’t overthink it. Just don’t string others along. It’s ok to love others and be loved! Everyone has their unique way of expressing.
