Teacup Poodles

I love them! Has anyone ever had one? Know anything about them? Love them? Hate them? My old best friend had a black one named "Conan" (not pronounced like the late night host, but like the barbarian). He was the cutest thing you've ever seen; they are full of personality like tiny little furry humans. lol. I'd like a teacup poodle to be my first pet that I get when I move out.

Oh and they get their name because of their size--you can fit them in a teacup. lol.

I have never heard of them either. Would love to see a pic! I never thought I would be fond of poodles...but, it really depends on the dog for me, I found out! I have a friend who has a black-haired poodle who I just love! He loves me too! He does not have the "poodle-cut"...

Star, I hear ya...I don't like the "poodle cut" really, especially on the little ones, but if it's done subtly, then it can be okay.

By the way, the last photo...he's not humping the turtle, even though it looks that way. LOL.

Oh how cute!! I assume that's a mini dachsund? Or is it a puppy? You know what other breed I like? Skipper Keys, which is not the real spelling, but that's how it's pronounced (and they did originate on ships as skipper's keys, although I have no idea what their purpose was as such because I have no idea what a skipper's key does)

P.S. Yes, poodles can be a bit nippy, but you can train them not to be. What I think is cute is how they "talk" to you; they growl in different octaves to mean different things. lol

You know I think I was misinformed about Schipperkes originally being captains' companions on ships, because I'm not seeing that on any of the websites devoted to the breed. Maybe it's an urban myth or something? Anyone know? Anyway, back to the pics!

Oh Luz...that is so sad... :? *sniffle...a coyote— I'm horrified...I had a best friend once whose kittens were all eaten by some wild animal (she lived out in the country), and this is really horrible: the next morning when she went to check on them, all she found was a couple of paws...we both cried that day...how terrible 😢

I Love Jack Russeles, (the dog off Frasier) but I dont think that I could get another one. I got one for christmas and he got parvo and we had to put him to sleep so... I am pretty upset about that.

Anyhow, Tea cups are precious, I have never heard of poodles biting, and tea cups are so small what would fit in thier mouths are not much.

As far as dashounds, they are lazy and are not easy to potty train....trust me been there....I had one that would p on my guests when he didnt want to get up from the couch... u would be suprised how many loads of clothes I had to do because of him.
