Being a Child

I'm just being a curious person again...has anyone ever had that thought of not wanting to grow up? Not grow as in 'aging' but as in 'you have to do everything by yourself' kind of way.

Like growing up has something to do with being thrown out into the world and if you screw up it's pretty much over. Then there's those people who say if you leave you won't make it because of how you are, your personality, and the way you think. Pretty much saying your not going to survive actual life, or your going to fail at it, with out really meaning to.

Maybe because the way things are right now are comfortable and something that has to happen is going to change that...maybe for the better, but it's still going to disturb this comfortableness your in.

.....I think I'm loosing my mind...or something.

Has anyone ever had that thought of not wanting to grow up? Just about every second of my adult life. I don't want to be a responsible adult, I don't want people to have expectations of me. I just want to be a child. A child who has to go to school every night, go to bed early, experience summers that last forever. Or at least it feels that way. I want people to look at me once again and say "what can you expect, he's just a kid". Anyway, I'm still something of a child deep down inside, I will always be.

sometimes adult responsibility can be a bit much.

When I was little I couldnt WAIT to grow up. My home was hectic. Now I wish I could be a child. LOL. Things were simpler! I think when people tell you you wont make it because the way you are really underestimating you as a person. Everyone learns as they grow even if the lessons are rough. You do harden after a while because you have to in a way. Its ok to make mistakes, a lot of times its not the end of the world either. However it is good to take a lesson away from everything you do to improve your life. Push through the things you are forced to or scared to do, and you will come out a better person. Challenge yourself and you will learn. You have plenty of time to goof up, but hopefully within the safe arms of family members that can help teach you.

Responsibility for yourself is not as scary as you think if you just believe in yourself. I lived alone and loved it. I learned everything from asking a LOT of questions. You will enjoy adult life no matter what even if it sucks sometimes.

HAhaha I was like that to LP. I use to get so mad when adults would tell me "your a child you wouldn't understand". My arrogant little self would think " I do too!!!!!" I hated the restictions of being too young.
I'm not sure if I want to go back though. My lessons learned earned me alot of battle scars and I wear them proudly. I earned them. I've gone through alot. I treasure knowledge so much that I don't think I'd go back. I've learned so much. 🙂

....life is cruel, isn't it? Fun, but harsh.

When I was little (in age)I still didn't want to grow up. I wanted things to stay how they were, but it didn't. I pretty much had the same thing running through my mind, I wanted to stay a child and not go through all the phases humans go through. Life's much simpler when you're a kid, maybe that's why....or I'm truly going insane.

It is simpler, but its still limited. I appreciate all the experiences I had because it made me who I am today. Personally I am happier more now than when I was a child and I have many more years to continue growing as a person. I think to be a child forever is hindering. Imagine all the things you miss out when you are a child? You can't drive a car, you can't travel the world, you can't experience romantic love, you are trapped in your own environment. Being an adult has its rewards as well as its issues. Change is a part of life and its the only thing you can count on. The most wonderful thing about it though is it forces us to evolve and reach our full potential.
