He broke up with me after dating for 2 months since we never spoke about labels and this morning I said i didn't have a boyfriend. he said it hurt him when i said that and decided to end things.WTF?

he said that liked me alot and we were not on the same page that we were not kids to be asking to be my "boyfriend" he said he likes me alot and he doesnt think i like him .which wrong because i like him alot i just have a big mouth.. anyways i told him that i am very interested on staying together that i am starting to catch feelings for him . that i didnt agree with his decision but i would respect it.
He hasn't answer anything back.
