A couple nights ago I got really high and started thinking about sacrifices. I don't know if any of you have ever gotten so high that you can see into the deeper spiritual side of things, but thats how I was. I was thinking about how central the role of sacrifice has been in society. I was thinking about how sacrifices are an attempt to give life to some spiritual idea by giving it the life of something physical. Since then I have been thinking about many examples of people I know who make use of sacrifice on an everyday basis maybe without even ever knowing it, but not always by making a sacrifice of someone else. Sometimes people make a sacrifice of themselves. They transfer the energy of their physical body to some spiritual concept in order to give that concept life. Sometimes they do this by giving something up and sometimes they do it by killing themselves in honor of it. But a lot of this do it and feel a need to do it. Why is this? Is it a way we feel we can achieve immortality, by taking our life out of our bodies and putting it in some ethereal vessel? Or is it that we think that by sacrificing someone else's life we can satisfy the pain and discontent we feel with our own?

Homegrown eh? j/k
There are many types and degrees of sacrifices most people do make, and yea some without thinking about it like it's second nature, and some with effort. I guess it all depends on what the sacrifice is and what it's for.

Want something that will really blow your mind? Take away the drugs and this is how us Gemini's think 247. We just don't need the space shuttle to get there....

Right, right. It would be scary if we got high too, because our brain is already "out there".

What do you mean your mind is "like this 24/7"? Is it that you're always thinking about and dissecting the inner nature of things? Just the thought of thinking like a Gemini is giving my Leo moon a lot of pride 🙂

Just think about when someone makes fun of someone else. The bully uses the body of the person that they are making fun of as a sacrifice on which to take out, or you could even say appease, the rage that is within themselves. The bully probably doesn't think about it that way but that doesn't change the fact that its what they are doing. If someone isn't making fun of anyone else than they have to take out that rage and anger on themselves in order to maintain a balance in the universe. This is why so many Pisces kill themselves is because they refuse to put their pain on someone else and so have to use their own bodies as their own sacrifice.

Sacrifice is an interesting concept to me. I find it a positive life force so long as it is not coming from a place of religious dogma. We're all inherently self-absorbed and self-ish. It's just part of life. But tell me who you are willing to sacrifice your time for and I'll tell you who you love. If you choose to be in a monogamous romantic relationship, you sacrifice pursuing others in favor of developing a bond of depth with the person you like. Furthermore, you can't progress in life if you aren't willing to make sacrifices. For instance, you've got to be willing to sacrifice some time and enjoyment if you're going to learn a new craft or skill set. Just saying, sacrifice isn't just about self-denial and self-imposed limitations. That's the low level vibration of sacrifice. It's also about forgoing the immediate (implied happiness) for the long-term. Now pass the kind bud, please.
