I know. She's been living over there now for 5 years and I've yet to visit. 😢

Road trip oooooooooooow!

Saved some of these guys from a busy hwy earlier this year! (wood ducks - threatened species in my area). About got myself killed in doing so - it was funny having state police running after them and even stopping traffic for them (and me) though LOL



Raised one of these from about 10 days old and released him (he's a starling, but I can't turn down a baby even if people think of them as pests). I fear the worst, he hasn't come home in a couple months 😢

I soooo love the babies! Although I did take in an adult pigeon a couple of weeks back who wouldn't get out of the way of my car, turned him into the bird rescue after a few days and he's doing fine now.



These guys are amazing! They're so ugly, they're cute 🙂 A few years back I found one that had just come out of the ground, it decided my finger was a tree. Spent 3 hrs watching it molt while attached to my finger.

It's the simple things and wonders of nature that make me happy and bring a smile to my face 🙂

Bugs creep me out though lol but I love spiders. 🙂

Nemesis that's a great list. Totally with you on old buildings you would love Scotland we have some amazing old buildings here....and fantastic castles. I actually used to live right beside an old graveyard my friends were always freaked out by it (especially at Halloween!) but I found it really peaceful.

I'll post some pics tomorrow for you. 🙂

Wow that's so cool. You couldn't access the graveyard where I was because it's so old and the chuch/tomb in it are listed buildings but both my bedroom and livingroom overlooked it so I had a great view. So pretty in the snow.

I found out later that some of my ancestors were buried there which was perhaps part of the reason I felt so at home there.

Here are some pictures I took of the graveyard (on my phone so excuse the poor quality in some) over the past 1-2 years before I moved out. This was literally my view. 🙂

Some were taken when we had a couple of weird weather spells - you'll see from the colour of the sky in a couple! I caught a rainbow in one too.

I always thought it quite a fitting backdrop myself. I'm gutted I didn't get a picture of it in the snow because it was so pretty then, really serene looking.

I'll see what else I can pop up for you later tonight, there are a couple of where I used to live though in Wynter's "Stuff" thread on page 70. The infamous "Wallace Monument" is one of them.

😄 i like the creepy look too, but i dont like the crappy weather either. Only thing good out of this weather is that the leaves turn pretty colours, and you can wear fall/winter boots.
