I was/is in a same-sex relationship with a Virgo. He's a Virgo guy and I'm a Pisces guy. Easy. We have known each other for years! We grow up with the same friends in the same neighborhood. Now both in our early 20s, we started dating when Obama got re-elected. So for the past year and a half. It's a little complex (as anything is with Pisces and Virgo) but we learned together for the majority of the time as well. We are STILL in love. Very passionate love for one another.
And if you've ever had a Virgo love you, then you know how to tell that they're in love with you, regardless of how they act or what they say to you. One day, literally out of the blue, he tells me that he thinks we've grown apart and would like to take some time to find himself a little bit. I knew the day would eventually come, because he's never had to time to be "single" to some degree. I mean to say, he hasn't been out of a relationship since high school. He makes it clear he doesn't want me out of his life at all, and I should just give him some time. In recent times, I've become more submissive to him, instead of my usual dominance, which initially got him interested in me.
It's been a month since the break up, and I can tell he wants to spend time with me, but is deeply afraid of long-term commitment. Should I go back to my more "aggressive" ways? Should I chase him? He told me that sometimes he wants to be the mouse instead of the cat. Should I go get him back? Or give him space?
Update : Post-break up, he was really confused and emotional, and was asking me for advice on how to get another guy. I gave my honest opinion, that I don't think he should rush into another relationship, since he still had feelings for me. I told him that I wanted to take him to the beach and he got upset because he wanted to go to the beach with the other guy too. So then I kissed him. He kissed me back (with a lot of heat) and asked me how I could still be in love with him? He was crying really hard.
Update 2: Now, whenever we text message back and forth, we always end up laughing and one of us inviting the other to hang out. This is confusing to me, because one day he wants to completely ignore me and the other he wants to fix our relationship... Please help!
