The DNC has come and gone in Denver. I cannot begin to explain how Denver has changed from this experience. It was amazing to see and feel the energy of this political party and protesters. Our streets were adorned with squardrens of police, protesters, politicians...and common man. It was amazingly different. I work right in downtown Denver and had the opportunity to be right in the heart of it all every day. It is hard to explain other than it was something new everyday. His home state delagates were staying at the Marriot right next to where I work and we saw him. It was amazing.
The one thing I can say is that no one can beat Obama's energy of hope that he instills in the American people.
I was not leaning either way, but I was so moved and compelled from everything Obama brought to Denver, he has won my vote. I was concerned of his lack of experience however I think this country is ready for a new set of eyes that can really make a difference. This man is really a public servant ....he is the right choice for president.
SP1200 I did listen to his speech and also Michelle's. Their stories are so inspiring. We have lived in a world of fear for so long I really feel Obama instill hope into the american population. My sense about McCain he instills more fear that we have lived with for so long.
I am not a huge fan of McCain's running mate either. She scares me as a leader. I don't know what he was thinking when he selected that ticket. I must admit I am highly impressed by McCain's wife. I had no idea she was quiet the humanitarian. I also respect McCain for his accomplishments, his heroism, and his nobility to do what is right, but with scary Palin on the ticket, I am swinging my vote the other way.
That is just what I see and we have not even gotten into the debates.
It was interesting I met a camera man from CNN and was invited to one of their private parties. We got to talking and I asked him if he was going to the RNC after this, and he said "no" and he was glad because he said historically democratics know how to party. LOL
