Old Jake, I don't really have an clear thought on whether Russia or Europe will join our side or not....I think it's a crap shoot. If we continue to lead with hystrics no, I don't think they will. They are much more sensitive and broad minded than our leadership has been to this point. If we get our act together and lead with sensitivity and intellignece, not just brute force, then maybe they would side with us. I think if we decided once and for all that we need to subsidize alternative energy and respect other cultures and beliefs, we would go a long way towards peace in this world.

Islam as a religion is relatively young and is in that phase of itz life-cycle where the principles enshrined in it are being empirically validated by itz followers. Every religion has undergone such turbulence where after centuries of rigidity and orthodoxy, rational thought finally prevailed.

Not to say that the religion is itself flawed , but at least the existing philosophy seems to be heavily influenced by the conceptz of hatred and intolerance. I feel after a series of clashes/conflicts with other prevailing schools , Islamic thinking/ideology will undergo positive calibrations. In fact all religions/cultures will gradually evolve toward unision.

Disturbed/abuse of any religion for 'whatever reason' is simply 'is not' a religion 'AT ALL, in my eyes...

Even before west had started noticing ...We in Indian had been watching and tolerating this for a decade or so. I strongly believe that Muslims are taught in such a way which makes them rigid and insular. Of course Islam as an ideology is not to be blamed..It wud be foolish to assume that.
