looking back, my experience with the squares was that these people taught me a completely different way of looking at things or a different way of feeling about something...
they made me go, "wow, i didn't know you could look at the situation from THAT angle." or "wow, that's something i've never considered (in an eye opening way)".

virgo and pisces moon...lol
my uncle has virgo moon and my dad has pisces moon...(moon sq moon)....i'll say that it definitely requires some effort on both parties to find common ground and to form a deep, solid understanding with one another...it's probably not a free-flowing right-off-the-bat, automatic kind of vibe....? but i have learned a great deal from both moon signs....i admire the analytical skills and mental agility of virgo moons and the intuitiveness and soft-heartedness of pisces moons...🙂

Yeah all the time. And yeah that is just one reason why I stay quiet. I don't like my Mars square ascendant. I recently read about it and good heavens to megatroid every bit of its description fit like a hand in glove. I would like to trade that one with someone. It's too intimidating and mysterious.

Oh I'm still down with the aspects. My aspects is the strongest in me. Like I can literally feel all it's impact on me whereas the chart alone with all its house placements doesn't do any good for me. And my ascendant is just placed there to make me look cute. I feel that Libra just got thrown in the ascendant with no purpose. Overall I am officially done with astrology.

it said you are driven, passionate, with raw and dynamic energy, great leadership skills....and that you fight for injustice, root for the underdog, and that you can really have a positive influence on a lot of people by channeling your fighting spirit towards good causes.
the downside part said that you can find yourself in power battles with people sometimes...? and that you may kinda find it hard to compromise...? or people may misunderstand you and think you're being aggressive when you're just passionate/wanting to get a point across about something....?
i can see how that would hurt you internally especially if you didn't even mean to come off that way to people....:/
i don't know if staying quiet is the answer tho 'cause that would be like hiding your true self....? and i'm sure there are people out there who would greatly appreciate you speaking the truth or stating your point of view about something.
maybe there is a way for you to pick your battles but still stay true to who you are.

Me and my sons dad had a lot of squares in synastry as well as composite. Mostly communication issues
My Jupiter is squared by his Mercury
My mars is squared by his Jupiter
Our midheaven square each other
My Venus squares his Mercury
Our mars square each other
My ascendant squares his sun
I think we both felt misunderstood in the relationship, we had a lot of communication issues. He was avoidant when it came time to have the hard conversations, which caused me to bottle my emotions up instead of expressing them, which just lead to resentment and division down the line . I feel we also held each other back quite a bit. We didn’t want the same things, so we inadvertently held each other back from achieving certain goals since our goals didn’t align.
since communication is like the foundation of any healthy relationship, i can see how the lack of it made you both feel like your basic important needs weren't being met...😢 and being misunderstood is a lonely feeling...especially if it goes on for long periods of time....someone avoiding the hard conversations makes you feel like they're not fighting for the relationship to work...and you feel let down....maybe because you expected them to try a bit harder....to not give up and shut down....also, as you mentioned, the feeling of being held back might eventually turn stifling...people may start off wanting the same things at the beginning of a relationship but may evolve and change directions....it's hard...😢

I’m Aqua, with a Virgo and Cancer besties. The Virgo and I are not always harmonious 😂, but she’s the only persons advice I take. She’s always makes me see a side to things that I couldn’t see. She’s also the only person that can successfully calm me when I’m upset or anxious. I call her my voice of reason.
The Cancer, we’ve always been harmonious, and cancers bring out the more sensitive/emotional side of me.
It was usually with people too much like myself, that made me aware of my negative traits (kinda like a mirror). You wrote a post before mentioning how people don’t like to see negative qualities that they possess, in other people. That was spot on for me, I can’t take being around someone who has the same negative traits as me, for long periods of time, only in small doses 😂.
An Aqua friend that I spent a significant amount of time around, is who taught me most of the negative things about myself. Like I would just observe her mostly when she got upset, and I’d be thinking it’s not that serious to be as mad as she was, then I’d be thinking OMG, this is me. 😂I need to change! 😂
Having road rage, little patience…she is the person that probably made me grow the most as far as becoming self aware and realizing that it was not acceptable.
Overall, I’ve grown from all of the aspects…squares, trines, etc., just in different ways.
Don’t know if I’m making any sense right now, with a 1001 thoughts scrambling around in my head 🤦🏽♀️

I’ll also add that, with myself having my Venus square everything in my chart, my head and heart usually doesn’t agree with what it wants. I want adventurous, but also stability, I want to be able to be detached without being judged, but also want someone more attached than myself, etc.

Yeah I red that too and go, yep all that is me. But you should read all the bad ones. People having this aspect in the natal are ones you shouldn't take lightly. Mars/ascendant snaps just like having Aries sun sign.
And sure of course there have been some people who appreciated me for speaking the truth but thing about that is I'm not good at accepting appreciations from people. I just go "ahhyaahhyahh" I don't know how to spell my welcoming back to people's appreciations but in that quotation it's just me mumbling as if to say yeah save it.

i feel you on that "not always harmonious" part 😂lol when dealing with people who square our charts, i think there is a tendency to unknowingly get on one another's nerves without both parties meaning too at all lol and then we sometimes have to do some "damage control" to make sure we didn't hurt them by mistake, or to make sure they didn't take things we said the wrong way 😂lol i'm always worried about offending the person i have a square with lol
it's interesting and also endearing that you observe other aquas as a way to improve yourself...😂 lol
it takes courage to face yourself so i really admire anyone who can indulge in some self reflection.
i sometimes purposely read message boards that are dragging my sign through the mud just to get some real unfiltered perspective on my sign and how annoying we can be lol 😂

I know all too well about worrying about offending the other person. I believe in fairness and courteousness (guess I can contribute that to all lib placements/maybe Aqua too), so I’m constantly mindful of what I say before I say it, bc the last thing I want to do is offend. But with my Sag moon, there is sometimes a slip of the tongue 👅…speaking/acting before thinking, and an instant “fuck” 😩 why did I say that, or that came out wrong lol. Then the libra charming bits kicks in to clean it up, and save the day. 😂
Although with those closest to me, can sometimes get more of the blunt side, but it’s really just because I care and have their best interest at heart, and it’s me being straight up with them. 😐
The Virgo is ALWAYS annoyed whenever I give advice/suggest she do something. She’s Aries dominant so someone telling her what she should do, always translates to her as they’re trying to punk her, and she has to fight back. 😂
Then she’ll eventually come back telling me I was right. Like the time, she bought a new car, I said you need to go on eBay and order a second key and I can show you how to program it. Told her a bunch of times, but she doesn’t want anyone telling her anything. Sure enough a couple weeks later she’s calls telling me how she had to pay almost $ 200 bc she locked her key in her car. Lol
I told her that’s exactly what she gets 😂. I’m definitely more like the authoritarian/parent Cap (Venus) in my relationships, striving to make sure my love ones are being responsible and feeling responsible for them. If I give advice it’s because I think it’s in their best interest. 😐
Sorry for the off topic rant, it’s even worse talking to me in person. 😂 I can change subjects 5 times, in 5 minutes. 🤦🏽♀️
My Virgo bestie’s wife actually has your sun, moon, and Venus… and when I apologized once for convo being all over the place, she said it’s good bc you can talk about different things and keep a convo going 😂🤭.

I do the same exact thing! Aqua is one of the least favorite signs here, but I usually don’t take the negative personally. I like to hear different opinions with their experiences with Aqua, along with my other placements. I usually pay attention to see if there’s maybe something/behavior about myself that I wasn’t aware of.

Yeah all the time. And yeah that is just one reason why I stay quiet. I don't like my Mars square ascendant. I recently read about it and good heavens to megatroid every bit of its description fit like a hand in glove. I would like to trade that one with someone. It's too intimidating and mysterious.

the downside part said that you can find yourself in power battles with people sometimes...? and that you may kinda find it hard to compromise...? or people may misunderstand you and think you're being aggressive when you're just passionate/wanting to get a point across about something....?
i can see how that would hurt you internally especially if you didn't even mean to come off that way to people....:/
i don't know if staying quiet is the answer tho 'cause that would be like hiding your true self....? and i'm sure there are people out there who would greatly appreciate you speaking the truth or stating your point of view about something.

Sorry for coming back so late to add something else to this but anyway I just wanted to add that if I don't stay quiet I'm liable to say something that I'll sure to regret for the rest of my life. I think i'll just live with hiding my true self. I feel safe by staying quiet. People take my words out of context. I talk with intensity in my voice. I think that's why everybody take everything I say the wrong way. I give up on people. They are the ones that's hard to figure out, not me.

I like my squares. I already have an aries moon and other fire elements in my chart. My opposite is Cancer and I have to modify my behavior but its not a whole lot. At least I don't think. Cancer mostly dislikes the fire. Except libra is very tricky. I don't think it's an instant dislike thing but moreso completely different energy. I believe fixed squares are much harder to deal with.

Because I'm a Cancer Rising, the square I get a lot is Capricorn. I'm attracted to qualities that are naturally inherent to them (Saturn in Cap in 7th) and those qualities are very different than who I was at that time.. I joined DXP because of a Cap.
I liked it. Still do. Changed a lot in terms of how I am as a person.
The second square I get is Taurus Moon, as I'm a Leo Moon. After the first hurdle (above), this one was a lot easier.
I also have the square tension natally, so I'm not unfamiliar with it.
yeah i sometimes hear stories about people being attracted to those that square them because they possess qualities we don't. it's always an eye opening experience spending time with people who aren't similar to you.
This is true. Ironically, I get along with Capricorns and Cancers, as well as my opposition- Libra. Traditional compatibility doesn't mean you necessarily won't get along with these square aspect people, it just means that your approach on life is different and the energy itself is different to you, so it may take you a while to understand it. I believe square aspects teach you a lot of lessons; many of the mentors in my life have squared my energy, and it has taught me to look at something from a completely different perspective. Also, the difference in energy helps you learn something about yourself, and how you may or may not react/respond/process.

they made me go, "wow, i didn't know you could look at the situation from THAT angle." or "wow, that's something i've never considered (in an eye opening way)".
I’m Aqua, with a Virgo and Cancer besties. The Virgo and I are not always harmonious 😂, but she’s the only persons advice I take. She’s always makes me see a side to things that I couldn’t see. Having road rage, little patience…she is the person that probably made me grow the most as far as becoming self aware and realizing that it was not acceptable.

i feel you on that "not always harmonious" part 😂lol when dealing with people who square our charts, i think there is a tendency to unknowingly get on one another's nerves without both parties meaning too at all lol and then we sometimes have to do some "damage control" to make sure we didn't hurt them by mistake, or to make sure they didn't take things we said the wrong way 😂lol i'm always worried about offending the person i have a square with lol

Lol
I told her that’s exactly what she gets 😂. I’m definitely more like the authoritarian/parent Cap (Venus) in my relationships, striving to make sure my love ones are being responsible and feeling responsible for them. If I give advice it’s because I think it’s in their best interest. 😐

if staying quiet in certain situations help you feel safe then that might be fine....i feel like it's all about picking your battles....figuring out what's really worth your time and energy and what's not.
sometimes, prioritizing your peace is better than being right. proving your point at all costs isn't always worth it (speaking from experience).
you can still stay true to yourself (don't betray yourself 'cause that never ends well) but still pay attention to what's really worth your energy and what's not...

Growing up, I had a volatile relationship with my Libra moon mother. She was neurotic and controlling, which made me more rebellious. We have an okay relationship now. I learned to grow a backbone while she learned to let things go. Otherwise, I have a smooth relationship with other Libra moons like my nephew. That little man adores me so much I swear he believes I'm his real mom. Lol. He has ADHD, and I seem to be the only one with a calming effect on him. Of course, my sister made me his legal guardian. I don't have a lot of experience with Aries moons.
My Cancer moon brother is married to a Libra moon. Their suns are squared too. Dated since university and used to fight a lot. They've toned it down as they should. They have a baby now. My Taurus moon brother is dating an Aqua moon. They rarely fight.click to expand

My chart has nothing but squares and oppositions. And they’re the most intense ones. Touching my rising, sun, moon, mars, pluto. All within tight orbs. I have attracted a lot of people with similar energy but they’re very toxic for me because they usually don’t have the best handle on their own heavy aspects or something.

Very true and I agree. Couldn't stress this better myself. It's just sad I will never understand synastry and who squares me and such and such. That's about the only thing confuses me in astrology. I was always the type to go for whoever I want relationship wise no matter what they are in astrology.

I definitely agree that we are very misunderstood, with “enigma” being an accurate word to describe us. I’ve been told one or twice that people were attracted to my mysterious nature, although that’s only one part of me.

I do have that humanitarian nature, but it can be a down side to that. I care too much about the state of the world, unfairness, injustice, etc., so it’s very easy for me to feel sad or depressed. For those reasons, I can’t even watch the news (I’ll read it instead).
I love settings where different types of people are together, getting along, and there’s no negativity. But I’d be lying if I said I wish I weren’t that way. Some people are able to detach from world problems, with the mentally of “it’s not me or my loved ones, so it doesn’t affect me”. I sometimes which I could feel that way bc I would be a lot happier.

Like someone recorded your bad behavior and then playing it back to you 😂 ! I think those flaws, also seem amplified when you see them in others.
I’m always greatly for those experiences though bc without them, I would have not grown. 🙂

i feel like people who have many squares natally might have an easier time dealing with squares in sysnastry but i'm not too sure...?
My chart has nothing but squares and oppositions. And they’re the most intense ones. Touching my rising, sun, moon, mars, pluto. All within tight orbs. I have attracted a lot of people with similar energy but they’re very toxic for me because they usually don’t have the best handle on their own heavy aspects or something.click to expand
i agree, people who have done major inner work and have a complete handle on their heavy aspects are few and far between...those harsh aspects are bound to rear its head in close relationships with other people too...😢

looking back, my experience with the squares was that these people taught me a completely different way of looking at things or a different way of feeling about something...
they made me go, "wow, i didn't know you could look at the situation from THAT angle." or "wow, that's something i've never considered (in an eye opening way)".
I’m Aqua, with a Virgo and Cancer besties. The Virgo and I are not always harmonious 😂, but she’s the only persons advice I take. She’s always makes me see a side to things that I couldn’t see. She’s also the only person that can successfully calm me when I’m upset or anxious. I call her my voice of reason.
The Cancer, we’ve always been harmonious, and cancers bring out the more sensitive/emotional side of me.
It was usually with people too much like myself, that made me aware of my negative traits (kinda like a mirror). You wrote a post before mentioning how people don’t like to see negative qualities that they possess, in other people. That was spot on for me, I can’t take being around someone who has the same negative traits as me, for long periods of time, only in small doses 😂.
An Aqua friend that I spent a significant amount of time around, is who taught me most of the negative things about myself. Like I would just observe her mostly when she got upset, and I’d be thinking it’s not that serious to be as mad as she was, then I’d be thinking OMG, this is me. 😂I need to change! 😂
Having road rage, little patience…she is the person that probably made me grow the most as far as becoming self aware and realizing that it was not acceptable.
Overall, I’ve grown from all of the aspects…squares, trines, etc., just in different ways.

i feel you on that "not always harmonious" part 😂lol when dealing with people who square our charts, i think there is a tendency to unknowingly get on one another's nerves without both parties meaning too at all lol and then we sometimes have to do some "damage control" to make sure we didn't hurt them by mistake, or to make sure they didn't take things we said the wrong way 😂lol i'm always worried about offending the person i have a square with lol

I know all too well about worrying about offending the other person. I believe in fairness and courteousness (guess I can contribute that to all lib placements/maybe Aqua too), so I’m constantly mindful of what I say before I say it, bc the last thing I want to do is offend. But with my Sag moon, there is sometimes a slip of the tongue 👅…speaking/acting before thinking, and an instant “fuck” 😩 why did I say that, or that came out wrong lol. Then the libra charming bits kicks in to clean it up, and save the day. 😂
Although with those closest to me, can sometimes get more of the blunt side, but it’s really just because I care and have their best interest at heart, and it’s me being straight up with them. 😐
The Virgo is ALWAYS annoyed whenever I give advice/suggest she do something. She’s Aries dominant so someone telling her what she should do, always translates to her as they’re trying to punk her, and she has to fight back. 😂
Then she’ll eventually come back telling me I was right. Like the time, she bought a new car, I said you need to go on eBay and order a second key and I can show you how to program it. Told her a bunch of times, but she doesn’t want anyone telling her anything. Sure enough a couple weeks later she’s calls telling me how she had to pay almost $ 200 bc she locked her key in her car. Lol
I told her that’s exactly what she gets 😂. I’m definitely more like the authoritarian/parent Cap (Venus) in my relationships, striving to make sure my love ones are being responsible and feeling responsible for them. If I give advice it’s because I think it’s in their best interest. 😐

I do the same exact thing! Aqua is one of the least favorite signs here, but I usually don’t take the negative personally. I like to hear different opinions with their experiences with Aqua, along with my other placements. I usually pay attention to see if there’s maybe something/behavior about myself that I wasn’t aware of.

I definitely agree that we are very misunderstood, with “enigma” being an accurate word to describe us. I’ve been told one or twice that people were attracted to my mysterious nature, although that’s only one part of me.

I do have that humanitarian nature, but it can be a down side to that. I care too much about the state of the world, unfairness, injustice, etc., so it’s very easy for me to feel sad or depressed. For those reasons, I can’t even watch the news (I’ll read it instead).
I love settings where different types of people are together, getting along, and there’s no negativity. But I’d be lying if I said I wish I weren’t that way. Some people are able to detach from world problems, with the mentally of “it’s not me or my loved ones, so it doesn’t affect me”.
