Aries woman 4/13 and cancer guy 7/16

We are friends and we share A LOT in common. It is almost uncanny. My friends say when we hang out in a big group, for 20 minutes we'll be in a conversation (news to me). We're both in relationships and we both know that. I always catch him looking at me through my periphery but he's very aloof and odd at times. In the beginning of the school term when we were out one night he tried to kiss me, and I of course rebutted it because I love my Leo partner. There is still however a strange attraction and energy and huge commonalities across the board. Nevertheless, he seems to often disappear. When he tried that move on me he was really really weird afterwards. Since then he's become a normal friend again and even started hanging out with my friends and me again. We're invited to dinner tomorrow. He's changed a lot since the beginning of the term where he avoid me altogether. I would like any explanation as to his weird cancer behavior. Even though we may have chemistry, I really respect him as a person and would like to keep him as a friend.

I'm getting along quite well with an Aries girl myself. It's unexpected.
