So.... Venus square Uranus- A friend recently brought this placement that I have to my attention.

Who else has this, and how does it affect you and your relationships?

from what i heard, it's not good.

My sister and her husband both have Venus square Uranus and have been together for 18 years.

I have Venus Square Uranus. I'm not a cheater at all. I like friendly relationships. My relationships don't end all of a sudden.

Based on what I've read about Venus-Uranus natal aspects, and assuming your personal life is greatly influenced by this placement, surely your profile motto is somewhat of a contradiction?

Well, if commitment phobia is truly an issue with this natal aspect, wouldn't the following be more accurate?

"Never get emotionally attached, till they prove themselves… but as I’m not going to give them a fighting chance, getting emotionally attached isn’t going to happen."

I'm just playing devil's advocate but please tell me if I'm wrong.

My Leo brother has a Venus square Uranus, tighest aspect in his chart I think. No supportive aspects to his Venus. Venus is in Virgo, sign of its fall. It was a sudden trainwreck.. no one saw it coming. Well, I had a feeling he was cheating and hiding something for the way he was acting but hiding a child wasn't exactly my first thought. Pretty sure Neptune in his 5th had an enormous influence in his double life too.

I think that it depends on the person, and situation. If it's someone who I can physically get close to, then me giving that chance is more possible. But I am one who usually does the long distance thing, and in those cases too it still takes a long time for me to feel comfortable enough to even consider giving a chance. I just have never been the type of person that gets emotionally attached to people, but things is a different story.

I'm usually single or just play the field (not physically) for a few years, until I meet someone who makes me want to stick around. If I find that I have true feelings for them and it's not just one of my serial crushes, then I have the potential to love deeply and intensely (Venus Aqua in 8th house), but if I get even an inkling that the person has doubts or questions the relationship, then I start feeling trapped and try to convince myself that that's my green light and I'm gone. If I don't just leave, then that means they mean a lot to me and I will try to talk about it first. But if it continues then My head starts spinning, wheels in my mind start turning (over think), I start to fully detach, and then I need to get out. But, long story short.. I'm very capable of commitment once I find the person who makes me feel like I want to be nailed down. If however, they let me slide through their fingers, I will fly away.

That's bad, I know. I'm complicated..
