1st Anniversary Presents!

Let's talk first anniversary presents! 😄

What did you give your love on your first anniversary? What did you receive?

I'm celebrating my first anniversary with my Capricorn in December. I have decided to buy him an iPod Nano! My reason is that he loves music and his old shuffle (yes, he was still using an iPod shuffle!) is beginning to give him problems.

I chose the iPod nano model because he still uses a flip phone, I.e. he's not into the smartphone movement. The nano is music-centric without all of the bells and whistles of the iPod touch. Since his shuffle is technically still operable, I wanted to get him something different. I hope he likes it! *^__^*

I got it in black and customized it with an engraving, I also got an adapter for charging and a $ 50 gift card to start his collection.

Apple offered gift wrapping and a card, so it will all look beautiful! :') I can't wait to give it to him.

That's very sweet lilli I am sure he will like it.

I gave him a poem I made a friendship bracelet,some aftershave and chocolate (which we both ate!). He gave me some flowers. ( He had zero money so it was a big deal). Then we made a dinner.

Neither of us had lot of money to spend.

That is fantastic! :') I really love flowers! I love to dry them and then I arrange them in a 3D frame.

You both sound wonderful!

I love couple's jewelry! For our first Valentine's, I designed a matching key necklace that a gentlemen in Venezuela made for me. It's abstract, so people say the design is cool but don't know they lock together.

I bet you couldn't stop smelling him after he used his aftershave.

Chocolate is ALWAYS a win!

It's not about needing to spend money, CC, it about wanting! I know you're a romantic deep down, so you're not fooling me.

I'm pretty cheesy and a little traditional so on our first anniversary, I made my wife one thousand paper cranes. And she gave me these paper stars with little messages inside them. 🙂

We framed them up and they still hang in our bedroom 🙂

I used to make little paper cranes :-) I used to give them to friends as little gifts. We'd go for coffee and I would put it on their saucer beside their cup or something. :-)

It shows that you've exerted effort in your gift and didn't just buy it with money plus my wife is Japanese so I thought it would be perfect. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the Gods.

When I presented them to her I said: "I'm sorry that I give you these useless things when my wish has already been granted."

She slapped me on the shoulder, saying I was so cheesy.

But then she had them framed lol.
