Yes that is true in the past and very mutual.. He would never have started a relationship with me because that's not what either of us wanted with each other! But could someone really booty call after all those year and not develop feeling?.

YES!!!! To some people, sex is sex. Give it up and no strings and/or feelings attached. Sex is a primal need and people need to eat aka do the do.
I know plenty of people who were like that... friends, had sex then parted then got in the mood and called up the old friend to have sex, because both of you ALREADY established those terms. In their minds, why would anything be different? You didn't have that talk... nothing serendipitous about it. It just sex or the need of having affection being filled. Nothing more and nothing less.
Sorry babe, but if I was you... I would talk to him about it. If you're too shy then observe him. Keep your heart on guard and your va-jay-jay on lock down if need be.
