When a man sleeps around or has a sexual partner list that goes beyond 10, he's considered a "man." Everybody shrugs it off & thinks nothing of it

But if a woman gets her freak on, sleeps around, has a high number of sexual partners and/or engages in the same kinds of sexual promiscuity that men engage in, she's all of the sudden called a hoe, slut, has low self-esteem, has daddy issues or there must be something wrong with her, etc?

I never understood this

Promiscuity is not necessarily the best behavior for NEITHER men or women, so why are mostly women held to a higher standard than men, when both are literally engaging in the same promiscious behavior?

It's never right for the pot to call the kettle black!

Why is it so hard for men to believe/understand that some women literally just love sex just like men do. They could careless about being in a relationship with you, trapping you, nor are they giving it up for any other reason other than they simply liking sex just like men do!

Same thing happens with the word "player." When a man cheats, other men stand up to his defenses & say, "Oh bro, that's just what some men will naturally do b/c it's naturally in us to cheat." But if a woman cheats, it's like the end of the world for her b/c everybody will look down on her, call her all the names in the book & accuse her of having low-self esteem....basically all the things that the opposite sex does & yet doesn't get penalized for!

Makes NO sense at all

Oh that's bull...

ALL organs (external AND internal) are subject to the same STDS!

Both women & men are just as equally important in a child's life. It's not any more acceptable for a man to be less of a role model than it is for a woman

Whether or not a man can give birth & whether or not it's just as tacky for him to be a "hoe" are 2 completely different things!

And who made that rule? The gender without the ovaries are the only ones who get a "get out of jail free" pass to be promiscious?! Makes no sense

Being a hoe is NOT a good look for/on anybody, male or female.

And not every woman who is sexually promiscious has children yet or ever even will have them. It takes 2 to have a baby anyways. Men may not be able to physically bare children but the woman is shxt out of luck without his sperm. And since it takes 2 to make a baby, TWO people oughta both share equality & be held to the same expectations or criticisms with certain behaviors.

A man's role in fatherhood is just as important as a woman's role. It's just unfortunate that there are more children with absent fathers than mothers, but still 1 thing doesn't have anything to do with the other

I just think it's sad the first thing American females think about when they preach 'equality' is sex. Do you not care about getting paid as much as your male counterparts for doing the exact same job? Or does the thought of getting fucked by Prince Charming consume you that much? Seriously, go travel the world. And if you don't have the resources to do so, then go online and try to get a picture of what it's like to be a woman in countries like Saudi Arabia.

I never hear anyone say this, or believe this ... you apparantly believe it's true because you don't understand this.

Just because you think this ... doesn't mean anyone else does.

Krys .. you promote co-dependency, rather than accountibility ... and my hope is that people realize how closed you are.

So b/c the almighty P-Angel hasn't experienced or heard something, it doesn't exist or happen? LOL righttttt

I'm not speaking for you honey so if you haven't ever heard this mentatlity, good for you. But unfortunately I'm speaking for the people that HAVE experienced/heard this mentatlity. And yes, there are plenty of things/mentalities that go on in the world that you've never heard of or experienced for yourself. Get over yourself

And I'm sure you do want "people" to realize. You're so obsessed with me that you can't function unless others feel the same about someone/something that you feel. Other's opinions of me shouldn't validate how you feel about me. I didn't know you needed an army to validate your thoughts. So sad =P

"Just because you think this ... doesn't mean anyone else does."

And I can say the same the other way around. Just b/c you DON'T think it is, doesn't mean that everyone else doesn't think it is.

The world & what goes on in it is alot bigger than you P-Angel. Hate to break it to ya darling!

I agree wiith Lovebuckets post. It does seem more disgusting to let someone inside you then to put something inside someone else. I do not think its any more acceptable for a guy to sleep around then a girl. Infact I think that over the last few years it seems that it has become less commendable amongst guys for this behaviour and more commendable amongst women who are getting "being independant" and being "empowered" mixed up with being trash haha.

I call everyone that sleeps around a slag (whether male or female) if they find it offensive then they shouldnt sleep around. If someone thinks my "magic number" is particularly high then they can call me a slag too 🙂

But then theres always the question of who's worse, a guy/girl who has slept with 9 people "bare back" or 100 people protected—

Krys likes to bring up topics that are emotionally de-evolved ... and most of you seem to not mind discussing backwards thinking

To accept that this is unfair ... is to accept its existence as having value

People seem to want to have equality ... but, cannot handle the responsibility of it ... if you are going to allow yourselves to own the opposite

Simple. Just put it this way:

If a key can open multiple locks. Then its a Master Key.
But if the lock can be opened with multiple keys. Then its a broken lock.

read it from a quote before.

This topic is old news, not saying it doesnt make for good conversation. This has been the standard since the beginning of time and will be until the end of time

Very true. But so are 99% of the other topics discussed on here. I know that this double standard will never go away, especially since it's been around since the beginning of time. Doesn't mean that it's fair though just b/c it's still around.

I don't see how people can even justify double standards anyways.

And whether or not women get more stds than men doesn't really matter, considering there are millions of men who have/have had stds, so it's not like men are doing the world a favor by having external organs. If 90% of the women in the world had stds, while men only possessed 10% of those diseases, that'd be 1 thing. But clearly men are spreading stds like wildfire too, therefore the behavior behind spreading those stds is just as unnacceptable as it is for a woman

from an evolutionary pov, it makes sense for a man to 'sow his oats' if you will, to produce the most genetically diverse offspring, etc.

but humans are far from that line of thinking now. double standards are boring and prehistoric. i know as a certified fact people aren't fucking solely for reproduction purposes anymore...

or maybe our biological 'rules' are more potent than we'd like to think. me tarzan, you jane.
