Vasectomy
It's fine with me. I've known several men who have had that done, including two of my friends. One of them was quite squeamish about it, so I did some research for him to help including watching a video of the procedure being performed with the "no scalpel" method.
All of the men I've known who had it done were happy that they did it. Some had already had children. None of them had complications. The time they had it done ranges from early 70s to within the last few years.

Just found out my guy had it done like 10 years ago. I know there's no chance for reversal. I don't know what to think, just feeling empty. He has a daughter and did it before he even knew his ex was pregnant.

Just hurts, someone having his daughter and it's not me. Especially when I see how much he loves her. After that conversation he distanced himself a little bit, I don't know why. In vitro or vasectomy reversal are viable options.
I dated a man who had a vasectomy, he was upfront about it, while getting to know him. He was 7years older and I knew I wanted children. I didn't see him as long term, not because he had a vastecomy, but because of other reasons. Having a vastectomy certainly added to the list of reasons though.
