What does it mean when a man says....

My cousin has been talking to this guy for the past 3 months. They were introduced to each other by mutual friends and have grown to like each other. They have gone on a few dates (normal dinner & movie type). They had sex for the first time recently. She said that it was GREAT for her and she really took a better liking to him. He called her that night they talked. She said that he told her that he did not want this to be just a sexual/casual thing and that he liked her a lot. They continue to see each other and speak regularly.

Here is where it gets strange...... The second time they hook-up during mid act, he says to her that she SCARES him. WTF does that mean? My cousin has been worried since he said this because she now thinks that he may back off. Is he catching feelings for her or does this mean that he is about play the disappearing act?

Yes. He thinks more of her than a friend. He is afraid that she may hurt him. She should just stick around and he will begin to trust her. If he likes being with her then he wont back off. She should just take it slow and get to know him. I am not an expert for myself that is for sure but- my husband of 20 years said the same words to me when we first started dating. A month or so later, he told me that he thought he was falling inlove with me. We had dated about 3 months when he said that.. Just take it slow. It may be the love of their lives.

Personally, if someone said something to me that I did not understand the meaning of - I would most definately ask the person what he meant by saying that.
