Winning the heart if a crush?

It all started in 2008 when a cute yet dorky guy who looks like a Robert Patrick (circa Terminator 2). We clicked instantly. I never knew why or how all I know is he always knew how to get me to laugh and I always said the right things he found endearing. After a few months in early 2009 he got relocated to a different building and I'd get an email from him every few weeks or so. In fall 2009 my department moved to the same building as his department. And things picked up where we left off at. As time went on he got more and more playful. Hed do things like kick me or bop me on the head whenever he passed by or purposely ran into me in the hallways. After a few months in mid 2010 he started to really ramp up the attention and started to get affectionate. He started to ask me to have lunch in weird excuse sorta ways, hed start to be touchy and would even brush dirt off my arm. Hed even ask if I wanted to go to after work related events.

Things fell apart when I got promoted and hot transferred to his dept. he asked if I was happy about it and I said yes and I asked if he was he said of course. But my emotions got the best of me and I accused him of being neglectful because he didnt talk to me as much as he used to. That lead to me being upset at him for months and he was so clueless he never understood y. It wasnt until a coworker who was worried i was gonna quit asked him about me without me knowing to get some answers. She confessed to me that she talked to him and she told me what he said. I know understand it was never neglect. So I've clean slated the issue and surprisingly we are more closer than ever

He's starting to be chivalrous again, hes been muttering quietly under his breath what I think was flirty things, hes been more supportive like doing things for me. Pretty soon the affection will happen again i assume

Problem is I'm very self aware, opinionated, but when it comes to him I get all shy. He is charismatic to most people but he seems to act protective, shyer etc so I don't know if hed ever been interested but then again his caring , modest, silly guy so it could be his normal personality but I don't think I've ever seen him like that with anyone else.

So do you think I have a chance? I figure hed have asked me out to lunch by now. He works three jobs for most of his adult life. If not working hes at the gym watching sports or asleep so work is his social life. So how can I get him to ask me out?
