Hey everyone =)
Thanks for reading. I can't wait to hear all of the comments/replies.
Will also make this short haha
So, I've been talking to this guy online (I joined a dating site)...we've been getting to know each slowly as friends.
I started to think he was a nice guy...when suddenly I find out through conversation... by him he used to have a dog. And when I asked him what happened to the dog...he said he gave it away because he just couldn't take care of it anymore bc he didn't have time. For some reason, I found this so repulsive. So, he asked me to meet up...but I remembered the dog thing, so I didn't meet him. Would you date someone who gave up an animal? I find that says so much about someone- you made a commitment to take of this animal and then go back on it. Idk. What do you all think?

A dog do require way more than a cat or a bird etc
It needs to be walked often, and the dog shouldn't have to be alone all day (ue. Him wotking)
He could also be a difficult and loud dog that required way more attention than your average dog.

It's therefore not synonymous with this guy being irresponsible, indecisive or egotistical.
Ofc he could be all if this things too, but not bc of adopting away a dog..

I wouldn't even think about it being an issue

I find it repulsive people who keep animals who are chained or don't have time for it.
+1

At least he admitted he couldn't handle it and gave it away to have a better life elsewhere.

...this is assuming he actually found it a home and didn't just dump it off at a shelter or off in another city. ...I've had people admit the latter all too often. It's disgusting. When I was trying to find homes for a litter of kittens, some lame ass bitch was like "just dump them in another city."

...I hope she catches crotch rot. People be gross.

But the OP getting overly dramatic about him giving away his dog because he couldn't care for it like it deserved is a bit much. PETA fan much?

Really? You sound ridiculous.

He gave the dog to someone who had time for her and could take care of her and could give her a better life than he could. I think that is a very kind thing to do for the dog, because otherwise the dog would be lonely and not have everything it needs to be happy.

You know, he could have dumped her on the side of the road. Could have taken her to the shelter to be euthanized. Could have put a bullet in her head. But, instead of doing all that, he took the best interest of the dog and gave her happy life.

I find it a kind and responsible thing to do.

You need to loosen up. Dogs are NOT people.

I think you are a jackass. Have you seen a dog that's been neglected and abused? Go visit a rescue owner. You'll have a clue and possibly gain respect for this guys decision.

I doubt it though, your head is too far up your behind.
