I’ve been training for a few weeks at a new job. My trainer has been passive aggressive/ lazy bish that literally doesn’t want to teach me anything. Culturally I’m taught that I should give a gift at the end of a teacher/student relationship. But my ego or wtvr you call it doesn’t want to. Would you in this situation?
Would you get a gift for this person?

Think of it as a gift as ‘thanks God it’s over’ gift...if ‘culturaly’ a must...

Yes, I would but I would give as I received if you get my meaning.

A book on how to create positive morale with staff would be good 🤓👍

Your comment clicked with me the most and makes more sense than the BS I’ve been taught culturally since childhood.

I know sometimes I feel like I’ve been brain fucked by my parents since childhood. All this BS about respecting elders and teachers. I don’t think people who grew up normally would understand the power of brain washing.

Why would you gift anyone who wants to see you fail.

Get them a “Teaching For Dummies” book
If it's NOT from the heart, why do it?
But if you're going to do it, that book suggested above should be a perfect match lol
