Obviously I am a Virgo but my ex and son are both Sags. As it happens they are both French and live in France (I met her originally when she was an au pair here in England). Anyway I see them for about six weeks a year, sometimes going over there and sometimes they come here.

When I say it is a madhouse over there I don't actually mean that it's physically chaotic: as a matter of fact she is probably actually more clean and tidy than I am (which I put down to her having Mars in Virgo) but although they sometimes get on they are often very argumentative (which may be a Sag thing or a French thing or both?) Unfortunately they can both be quite volatile and in particular she has a pretty sharp temper and I think she hassles him too much and even makes him do extra homework (even my mother didn't do that!)

As a matter of fact although he was an accident I like him and get on with him actually better than with her and can sympathise with him as my own mother gave me a hard time too and my relationship with my son seems to be coming on well now that his English is improving (he will be 13 years old on 13 December by the way).

Virgo-Sag is a difficult relationship but I think she was originally attracted to me because I have Sag rising (also maybe because she has Mars in Virgo). Anyway I try to do my best with them but it ain't always easy!

I lived in France for a bit & my experience with the french is that they are particularly passionate in general but also fussy.
Which is interesting combination.
Their self expression and body language makes everything seem like a huge deal until you actually listen to what they are saying.
Anyways the sag probably does not help with the passion quotient

I'm french and I'd rather say the contrary lol
Saggitarrius's are crazy !
talking by experience ( born in a fire family with two saggs in it ! )
Anyways, I don't know what's actually disturbing you, the fact that they are french or the fact that they are fire signs ?

a few years ago I collected statistics about traffic on Astrology boards in different countries. What was interesting? In several countries Scorpio and Capricorn boards where the top runners. Only in France it was Sagittarius board which had the most threads. So that advertisements and numerlogy stuff all were attracted to that board.

I thought to myself it may be because of freedom emphasis in "Libert?, ??galit?, Fraternit?".
But who am I to know?

well, "family" is a madhouse of its own anyway. This is how Americans make good money with 1000s sitcoms every year.

Lol, I agree we also always say after the epic actions that occurs in our house that " Hopefully, there's no camera Inside the house"

Well, that motto comes from the age of the Frenh Revolution, the only clear influence I can see from this are regular marchs accross the country. Once every month in the place I live
Liberty as mentionned is " Libert? - Egalit? Fraternit? " is the freedom the people revendicated from th King because we could stand the too big authority coming from just one person ( and Church too, but too corrumpted), Equality for everybody ( abolition of privil?ges) and Fraternity .. some progress is to make for this !

@OB91: Actually we were never married. It's really not me that has a phobia of commitment (not to the right person anyway) but she ain't easy to get on with and is reluctant to go half way with me or make concessions unless she has to and then disdainfully (basically "my way or the highway" although being French she is perhaps not familiar with that actual expression!) As far as I am concerned she is the one who has never wanted to really commit which I suppose is typical Sag after all. The other day though I was shocked when she claimed (on the phone) that one time she proposed to me but that I refused her! I am 99% sure that that never happened as I am sure that I would remember such a thing as that. The trouble is that she may have told our son this in which case this is making me out to be the villain of the piece (like "Oh well I wanted to get married but he didn't want to" which may well make him feel unwanted). I guess that maybe most of his friends' parents are married and together and he feels second-rate because of this. I couldn't believe it when she said that and wonder if she dreamed it or something but she claimed it happened.
