There are many matriarchial countries in the East - especially Bhutan area and slightly north of it - where woman take a new partner to bed every night.

The "life style " as you put it and family values aren't mutually exclusive. Many people use an open environment where women have the power to work through their relationship then go back home to their family.

That's fair enough. But I don't think it's a man or gender thing trust me, I've seen enough women to know.

The best part of these kind of environments (imo) is seeing women who are free to really own what they want to do. It's the mental side of it that appeals to me because you see couples, yes committed couples, grow stronger and more assertive in their decisions. That's the aim anyway. Some are using condoms. practicing safety first. Others are not. Google some doctors advised to have your questions answered about those std's. too much work to elaborate.

Back to original OP. I don't think sign has anything to do with it. Know a wide variety of signs who swing or have open relationships. Also most people who choose this life style are very careful of their health, no one wants to contract something or pass it on to their partner. I enjoy my conversations with the couples I know. It would honestly even defeat the point of swinging if people were promiscuous imo.

Most people I've met and spoken to are on the lookout for a meaningful sexual connection, not the opposite. It's what brought them there in the first place usually.

Similar to xy's experience, my first time ended with me thinking "holy crap, this was overrated in my mind". I think people have this idea it's a lot more dangerous/risque than it really is in reality.

Completely agree. Everyone I personally know who does this is married. Most were bored with their sex lives, looking for some excitement again...instead of staying unhappy or cheating they communicated feelings and needs and made a choice together. In most cases it seems to have strengthened the marriage and everyone agrees that the sex is exciting again (with eachother). Everyone also says how it improved communication between them, as there has to be so much discussion on levels and limits.
