The Archer Meets the Moon Child

I've been thinking of signs I should pursue and wanted to ask if Cancer and Sagittarius work. I have tons of Sagittarius friend's but never thought about dating one.

I know this is an inconjunct meeting of signs as Cancer is 8 signs away from Sagittarius and Sagittarius is 6 signs away from Cancer. Ones Water Cardinal the other is Fire Mutable, they have nothing in common. The only thing these 2 signs do got astrologically is there the only signs that don't match their season. Cancer a Cold and Moist sign in a Hot and Dry Season, Sagittarius a Hot and Dry sign in a Cold and Moist Season.

Do these two have the ability to find common ground?

I've been reading posts about the Sagittarian Woman with the Cancer Male and it seems the Cancer makes them fall in love with them and then abandons them a few months later. I wonder why and who is at fault lol The opposite way around Sagittarian Male with Cancer woman looks like a complete disaster.

I believe that Cancer is the most confusing sign to Sagittarius.

Wondering about this combination because Im sick and tired of dating Scorpios. Almost every one of my past relationships have been with them. They all end pretty nasty too.

I was raised by 2 Sagittarians too imagine that duo - And still married not divorced.

What does it take to make a relationship between these two work? What does Sagittarius require in a love relationship?

One thing I find kind of interesting is the 6/8 Pattern. It is related to the number 7 a very spiritual number. Its strange that all these sites seem to make it sound that it is the Sagittarius that destroys the Cancer. Its the opposite way actually as Cancer is the 8th sign away from Sagittarius symbolizing Death and transformation. I think Cancers arn't as sensitive as they appear. Even though the Sag is the only sign that comes with its own weapon the arrow, Cancer has a protective shell as a defense mechanism. From Cancers perspective Sagittarius is 6 signs away and this relates to work and daily routine. Sagittarius is seen as a chore.

Both signs relate to Jupiter as its exalted in Cancer. Supposedly the Moon and Jupiter are the two planets that rule over "Spiritual Wisdom" together. So there is things that intermingle these two signs. I do enjoy listening to other peoples philosophy's. I do know that Sagittarius talks a mile a minute but Cancer is the sign that listens completely. That has to bring some peace of mind to the Sag.

You mentioned something in you post that sums up the paring between Sagittarius and Cancer. "I believe that Cancer is the most confusing sign to Sagittarius."

They're not confusing at all. While we'll date any sign to see if it'll work, we need a strong, independent, emotionally consistent partner. We can be good friends, but from what I observed, the connection just isn't there for several reasons.

I'm a HUGE advocate of these two mingling together.

Friendship or something more intimate. From my experience

things work best when it's a Cancer male and Sadge female.

The reverse is a hot mess after the "honeymoon/sex coma"

I believe they can. Given certain astrological aspects being

in place and one's maturity level.

The Cancer individual is gonna have to be a bit more

open and adaptive to Sags nature. More often than not

I agree for the most part. One of my closest friends in a Sag female and she dated a Cancer for almost four years. They had fun together, but on key issues, he just could not step up. So, she left him...and the state lol. As far as a male Sag and female Cancer goes, you're right...it's most likely to end in a disaster. I've never dated one, but I've met a couple. One was planning the wedding while simultaneously complaining about me two days after we exchanged phone numbers...and I'm not exaggerating. They're wonderful women and people, but I can't deal with the constant drama.

I dated a Sag guy, we hit it off initially. Especially when he said he loved to go sailing. 😄
He was very aggressive, take charge and attentive.
However, could be quite childish, overly friendly to strangers and openly ogled other women and made inappropriate comments about their body parts. Not a protective bone in his body, but he was very masculine; which drew me to him initially.

Other than having great political debates I haven't seen much sensuality nor romance from this sign.

I know a Sag man/Cancer woman couple. they're awesome. They have some fantastic synastry though. And she's a fiercely independent and pretty wild for any sign, but especially a Crab. I don't know birthtimes but the way they interact I'd put money on it that they have strong mutual Ascendant contacts.

My two favorite couple are actually Sags with their inconjunct sign. Odd compliments to each other I'd say. A sag personality can offer a lot of foresight a Taurus or Cancer might lack in the broad spectrum of life.

I believe that Cancer has a lot to teach the Sagittarius also. I can tell from my own experience with my parents. My dad has always told me he wishes he was more like me. Though I feel the same way about him. All my relationships with Scorpios most of them had Mercury in Sagittarius. We would talk for hours about everything.

I think there is different types of Sagittarius. My parents for instance are very anti-social. My mother has been working the same job since she was 18 and she is 60 now. She is fiercely independent and doesn't accept hand me downs. Highly religious though she works for the Catholic church. We have many decisions about god and the meaning of different saints. Growing up the only flaw I see is that they made me too independent if that makes any sense. I have a hard time making choices.

I do have Venus in Taurus but it is in the 9th house. Really I don't got anything in my chart that would make me compatible with a Sagittarius. I only got one planet in Fire and that is Uranus... Only one planet in Air... Im mostly all Water and Earth.

I think the element of fire has a way of drawing me out of my shell. I did also grow up with an Aries brother Leo sister so I was the only water sign in of the family. I believe that we attract what we lack.

I've lived with Sagittarians before and we always seem to get along pretty well. My one Sag friend tells me I am the only person that keeps him out of trouble when I left him he said he would always get into trouble. Both these signs like to travel. If the 9th house is the alter of the zodiac then the 4th house must be the congregation that gives the alter a purpose.

I don't see myself as being the typical Cancer because I don't carry my heart on my sleeve. I have been over 2000 miles from home the last 7 years. And talk to my parents daily on the phone, we have an awesome
