Started writing my first book

Since its so Sag-themed (my journeys while living/travelling in different countries for the past 12 years) I thought, what a better place to ask for some tips than to the Centaurs, anyone here has written any books?

if its a traveling book, i like picture/food/adventure combo. pictures of cultures, mixed with food and entertainment, off the beaten path is a best seller in my world. 🙂

start a blog ... there you can recall all the best stories. then you can see which stories get the best response in the blog (views and comments). That can help you decide which items to include in your book. Also, there's always a chance that you can make money off the blog too. I use google blogger and it is completely free to set up.

I love those kind of books too, mine is a lot more personal, it will cover a wide range of funny, sad and curious moments/experiences.

The hard part is actually finishing the book. 😛

i figured the hard part would be the tile. i wouldnt even write a book, i'd do a videography. im so much more visual than a reader.

What?! the title is the easiest.. it's just a stroke of inspiration.
The book needs follow through, wrap up, editing and marketing.
And then.. you have to pray for readers 😛

I have started MANY books.. hahaha..
someone gave me a link for NanoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) but I don't even think that's easy.

i can write pretty well and through if im interested in the topic. id say a nice coffee table book with limited words is the best. catch phrases are awesome under digital glossy photos.

ive seen some hilarious coffee table books; guns & ammo was the funniest.

Haha, I don't see problems, I see opportunities. :p

But I'm lucky that finding a publisher will probably be the least of my concerns, I have the right connections within the branche the story belongs into. Like Spica said..finishing it will be the juicy part lol.
